thanks to shaun i managed to get the rear ashtray from the super s
which incidently looks like its never been used
before
after
also thanks to shaun i managed to get the front mounts for my super s bumpers for a grand total of £5
and thanks to karl for finding these and pestering me got these super s bumper for a total of £35
and like any panels they should always be test fitted first and the front fits well just not happy with the gapping but i had the same problem with my other bumper due to its early inlife badly repaird front ender ! it needs a new front member and it may straighten out the front end
so i et about moddifying the front bumper for fully open mouth
so heres what i started
cut here here and theree everywhere
and vala and all cut away leaving a gaping hole
for a first attempt at using the sheeting fibre glass stuff from halfords it works well
the centre bit was very hard indeed as all the sheet just wanted to sag so i used a board to hold it flat
and heres my result
and then the insides after being tidied up using a sanding bit on my new dremel bought for this job!
first layer of filler applied! took 4 mix ups
after a second coat most of the areas are complete but the areas where i cut sections from still need a bit more like the section where the plate goes to get it level and to keep the shape!
before i discussed about choosing colours for the wheels im still set on maserati rifle grey hah
but heres my choices
TOO MANY
but my main choice is the left hand one here
