My Micra Dot Rising To The Top! :)

well 4 weeks on from ordering my suspension and a few phone calls later still nothing and there saying the supplier doesnt have them in stock but however was ment to come in the last order last week, hence why i was told it would arrive last week! i said ill hold on for a while but if nothing in a couple of weeks the order is going to be cancelled for sure lol

humm when it does may give me a chance to get some other stuff done like today!

went to the scrappers andthey finally had a micra in whooohooo

got a mint parcel shelf and a front grill for a project but got ripped off at £42 owell they dont know how much ive fitted in my pockets in the past!

got home a removed the res of the wiring for the sub and amp and it got collected! result

then while i was at it i stripped most of it and fitted the release for the fuel flap and boot what a faff that is! but all done just awaiting the section within the boot lid for that to be done then more plans can commence!

wired up a second door button for the passenger side as no loom so made my own and it works well...

found 3 unconnected connecters around that area in total and no idea what they do!

moved both the rear sunroof drainers so they drain into the inside of the rear bumper

tidied up the speaker wiring but ran it through the bodwork

same with the boot interior light wiring so all is much neater!

my plan is finish everything i have to put on the the car then sell it!

only joking i mean before i buy anymore!

£42 LOLOL.

I payed in the past;
£5 for a MK3 Golf gti splitter (today)
£5 for a spoiler (big one)
SR? alloys for £40
japcan for £20
etc
and many more things silly cheap. Fair play for paying that but i would of laughed and walked away. :)

Car looks nice. (Y)

thanks dude its cos its the only only one really local to me but it seems they are all expensive around here anyway

Yeah fair enough. I wasnt having a silly dig there incase people assume ;) it just shocks me what people pay. I read someone on here payed £80 for a spoiler? srsly!! anyway.

You should check gumtree/ebay (Y)

£80 for a spoiler that's not bad i paid £350 for my spoiler on my 200sx and it was second hand ;)

post a pic of it? i cant seen any spoiler worth that? unless its a genuine jdm one? clueless to the picres of things regarding jdm stuff

JDM stuff isn't normally too expensive, I think. Exhausts and engine parts normally are, but not bodywork (unless you're talking about body kits, arches, or wheels)

Its cos my scrap yard is english pikie ran! Dont help! Wish i had a frindly asain scrappy near me! :-(

Hey, at least your local scrapyard isn't run by a load of sketchy looking Mexicans and Asians, with a less than basic grasp of English, money, and safety! I have to travel about 30 miles to get to a decent sized scrappie (Bicester, if anyone needs one nearby - it's pretty huge, saw about 10 Micras when I was there last time).

Bridges isn't that bad, Just have to avoid the supervisor! :p

Is he the non-english guy Shaun?
He tried getting me to pay £42 for a boot lip, then £40 for a part worn 195/45 tyre.... Just laughed and walked off
Whats so annoying is that he keeps on saying the prices without VAT!

The big ginger guy is the boss/supervisor i think. they try to rip you off just gotta catch them on a good day. Legend why do i never see you in and around crawley! you coming to the meet next month?
and i don't see how VAT comes into the scrap yard business?

well been a little busy last couple of days but a juicy kinda update!

let the pics talk!

Nice job mate same thing as I've done with my e30 rims :)

wekk been busy with the body work nearly there

fitted new tb from karl today and seems to work well although the idle problem still persists but it hasnt been cleaned yet so maybe why

well on thursday i put in £30.01 petrol at 136.9 and 90 miles on and its just above quarter of a tank1 hows that work????

i know it needs an air filter!

but owell the car doesnt love me

test fitted the wing today seems to be a little bent and warped from all the repairs but should be able to get it to stick correctly!

anyone fancy measuring the distance it stis from the inner edge of the boot lid!

little update

after a couple of visits to ed and a full inlet side rebuild and tidy up its running much better however it didnt solve the "problem" because its the anti stall being hyper!

not too pleased with my fuel consumption as it seems to be just wasting away!

it has new genuine nissan HT leads and air filter

exhaust has been sealed but may need a little more

pulsar short shifter rattle has gone with the aid of eleccy tape!

someone keyed my rear pillar the other day which i noticed when i got petrol luckily im painting it anyway but thats not the point grr

bodywork work is coming along nicely and virtually ready for spraying with a little more stopper here and there but all marks have been removed from areas being painted

got a new passenger side front wing sitting at work

heres some progression pictures

getting my old steelies back from r-reg soon for the tyres to be changed from them to the alloys for some bigger diameter and a little stretch if i have time i will paint the wheels again but it depends if i have time to prep them etc before japfest!

:doh:cringes at the amount of bodywork your doing. It didn't look too bad in the pics, you shaving the locks and handle on passenger side too? When you go for paint are you going for a full respray, diy, colour change?

The turtle will live on in the form of your fuel flap haha.

Nice effort dude, should look sweet when finished.

Thought about a spoiler? or going for the non spoiler look?

i have my super s spoiler :D its been sitting on top of my shed since feburary out of the way encase it got knocked and the cracks came back... it was hooded's spoiler dude

i have simply removed the lock as its never worked and the handle is off due to previous filler going funny so just tidied it up and the handle will be going back on
also its just little ### bits really the roof where my sunroof broke and went into it
removed the airiel so needed smoothing
sill had some bodge old repair on it which was rusting so ive tidied it up the best i can
where the bump strips used to be it was faded and was an edge from previous sprays
boot has been smoothed
also back to the roof and there were various chips and blemishs which ive flatted out
dent on the b pillar on the passenger side sorted
passenger side arch where i cought a wall
etc etc

all adds up!

also did i mention my insurance has gone up £600 pounds with an extra year no claims??????????????? grrgrrgrrgrrgrrgrrgrrgrrgrrgrr:down:

id love to remove all the carpets etc but id regret it and put them back in etc lol i like the clean look!

I did exactly the same when I stripped mine out - decided it was too loud and looked too awful. But I'll be getting a 1.3 and stripping that out soon . You doing it the same colour as before, just a freshen-up?
