Project my mini micra

This is a little bit of fun if the mods want it gone it can go away.

I bought this very detailed 1/24 scale model to replicate my micra with.
This will be very slow and laborious so heres the first pictures.

You can see the shell
and the wheels, with miniature pirelli tyres haha.

Soooo many parts.

2 choices of dash JDM or UK

Tiny weeny exhaust system and seats.

Hope this will interest some.

Looks good, I bought the other one he was selling. which was the march G#, just like my car. The dash is kouki and zenki, not JDM and UKDM. Keep us updated.
Is it ok to post here and update when i get mine?

Definitely!
Just bought a whole load of paint for the interior, using spray for the shell, going to have to work something out for the lights though as there not colored.

Started sanding the shell get rid off all the shiney.
Bumpers aswell, anything that is going too be red is now sanded.

Just for size reasons the wing mirrors compared too my little finger and a 5p

Build up your kit with any of these - then make your real one a replica of the kit!

Looking forward to seeing this thread develop. I've actually got a smaller less detailed version of mine in the pipeline - more details when I have a bit more of what I need.

Right small update, got some base colours down, need another coat on some things.
Black parts are now black, got some silver on the exhaust and brakes aswell.

Seats one on the left prepped one on the right not.

Wishbones and steering wheel.

Underside, the exhaust will be painted silver when i get a finer brush.

First coat on exhaust parts.

Everything will e painted properly just getting a base down too work from.

Last update for now.
Got some silver detailing done, rear axle has its first coat off paint.

Seats are ready for their lighter grey detailing.

Brakes and suspension painted.

Starting to really get into this.

Wow you can really see all the detail when it is painted, looking good can't wait to see the finished car

More progress, i got the bottom of the car sorted mostly.
Suspension and wheels on, the front suspension is in sections, the drive shafts, steering rack and wishbones are all individual tiny parts and had to be put on separately.
VERY fiddly.

Front suspension on, you can see the drive shafts, steering rack and tiny wishbones here.

All a little messy but it will be touched up before i finish. Once i have some finer brushes.

Rear suspension.

Including a tiny weeny panhard rod, annoyingly the suspension set-up is wrong, macpherson type rather than individual coil and shock.

underside with suspension sorted.

Body test fitted just because haha.

Let the glue dry a little then the back section off the exhaust was fitted again all needs touching up.
One thing that amazed me about this is the fact that it is actually raised off the bottom off the car you don't glue it too the bottom very impressed with the detail.

You can see in the last picture the touch ups needed are much smaller than they appear.

The springs will be vastly chopped i think if i take 5mm out off them it will be decked.
