so you are pulling the march apart eh? might be interested in a few bits and bobs... looks good tho
What's that like to drive? Definately looks like it could do with raising that rev limit!
Craig
NOOO! You went to SCA! *cough* Major Rip Off*cough*
Any who...awesome results!
Was good meeting you the other night too! The blue/white K11 looks awesome!
whats the exact specs of the engine is it anything like mine give me a rough idea on power
only said 110 cos its about the same spec as most of matt's stage rally cars. and theyre all between 110-120 bhp.
good guess though.. and good graph too.
nope they are much, much heavier! Ask niki and nex, they both agree that they are only about as quick as a 1.0 k11 because of all the weight.
seriously now. my bog standard CG13DE revs higher than that. and sounds a lot more beafy too.. well more induction noise anyway. theres some better performance available with that engine if you raise the limiter to 7500 or even 8000rpm.
if you are running the piper 772 cams or anything near them maximum power wont come in until around the 6000rpm mark. and will continue through 7000 so limiting it to 6350 is only going to hurt it.
but its looking good there. im seriously considering painting mine in NME blue.
I found out today that my back box on this car is knackered! its all fell to bits inside! so I am going to get it fixed then back on the rollers!
Hopefully we can get this Pectel sorted, I have different people telling me different things?
Really? That's annoying. They drop straight into a pre-NATS car, as I ran one in mine years back, however with a NATS equipped car it's a different matter, as the looms are different and will require some modifications. However a pre-NATS ecu wouldn't run in Mikes old NME car, (which had NATS when new and was modified to work with the Pectel).....as we tried to get it going on one when the original Pectel failed I cannot offer any advice at all unfortunately.
I don't know if Peter Vaughan has a wiring diagram for the Pectel, to see what the differences are.......has Matt Humphris been able to help at all?
Be a shame to see it go. Do think you'll get a run in it before it goes?
Good luck with sunday!!
Very nice, is that 'Calsonic Blue' a'la Mike's old one?
Craig
Interesting, where did you get the paint code for that? I've thought about doing mine the inverse to waht you have, it is a tasty colour in the paint
Craig
The graphics look really good on the blue and that red one is looking really good matey, keep up the good work
Cheers mate, I am really happy with both cars at the minute!
What did you think of the video above of the red one with the bike carbs on?
sounds good mate, as mentioned before, it will fly..................
haha, its almost as stripped out as my car now..lol
thos carbs sound like they are being choked by something. have they been setup yet or are they "as is"??
What exhaust are you using on the J1000 car?
All car's are looking mint!!
Is looking great mate, think my car needs its other seat though . See you tommorow.
Alex

Looking good, lucky you didnt roll a freshly built march eh ? :grinning:
:wasntme: VERY lucky!!!! It got very competitive with Chirs and I trading seconds against each other!
I'll let you know when the next one is if you like, it would be good for you to get more practice behind the wheel, its on private land and its fun!
