The 1.3 Turbo Battle####

would love to say i was doing it to wind you all up... out of lazyness and how bloody tired i am.. body and off the car. I just couldnt be bothered to get it all out n photo it all. So here it is. 150 bhp. sorted.
 
need to do finishing touches on the car tomorrow. sorry about the **** updating over the last few days. no sleep. lots of work.. pain in the arse.

I think there needs to be a dyno graph gallery thread for anyone who's been on surrey rolling road (from same dyno to maintain consistent results) to compare and assess graphs against various setup configurations.

yours is a smaller faster spooling turbo than mine ain't it?

just a quick comparison with my forged piston / turbo setup: http://micra.org.uk/threads/pollymobiles-rebuild.35251/page-26#post-456606
  • yours reach 10psi boost threshold by 3k but begins to dip at 5k while mine originally took till 3.9k but maintained that boost (although i think my recent boost controller has lowered it down to 3k by keeping the WG shut longer)
  • the front incline of your torque curve is bout 500rpm ahead of mine
  • you have a very broad peak torque range from 3.5 to 5k (torquey low end good for daily driving) whereas mine is a narrow but higher 4.5k to 5.2k
  • you reach peak bhp at 6.2k while mine peaks at 6.7k
conclusion you have a very torquey low end, good daily drivability setup while mine is more suited for a peaky rev-its-nuts-off high speed track use

could u scan you graphs and we could overlay each others graph curve more accurately?

Was good to finally meet you Chris :)
Hopefully it'll be bigger and badder next year :) i almost followed you home due to cold except I stayed and ended getting kicked off for playing in the field

So last night I may have gotten distracted on the way home... 30 miles in the wrong direction... Played with a Porsche carrera , new golf gti, BMWs of various sizes. Many of the cases I could reach top speed with them beside me just lost them once I ran out of gearbox. Found my self in Slough. Had a rather meaty sounding BMW fall victim again from the lights. Great night. Nice to see you again Ed. BTW when I joke about killing you if you put stickers on my car. It's in no reference to your brand. I just think stickers are the devils work. Make a stencil and spray one on.

Oh sorry andy I didn't see that post. That's a lie I was just ignoring you. I think the car will be un touched for the most of next year to be honest andy. More important uni work to be done. Was nice to meet you also. Soon we shall cause havoc again.

No it's okay you don't love Sophia and I. We see how it is. To be fair we left at silly o clock we were cold and wet. We let the side down. It was a good call though tbh. Bed and warm showers were amazing.

So ill put on a decal or two and spray over them then peel them back off... cant believe you just asked me to tag your car :D

I just hate stickers. I would much rather nothing occurs on the car but if I was going to do it I would probs stencil and spray. Lol no Ed leave my car alone

yes alot happier but still want more things to be done. I have even gone to the trouble of turning all updates from the msc off. I will be shutting down for a while hopefully. I think I will give myself an award.. if I get a 1st honours in my degree I am allowed to get the micra pushed to 200 odd hp without forging.
 
So... I have done nothing with the car. For a couple of days. It's going to be left there ... So happy to have to not goo near it for a while. Driving the daily is a pleasure and does not want to kill me every chance it gets. Plus fuel Eco is great. Enjoying chilling ATM.
