I see why you probably replaced that front top member I had the bonnet latch and central suport bar off mine today and found that rad suport on the top is pretty flimsy on its own so I may be asking for measurements at some point mate

No problem fella, yeh once I went to bonnet pins there wasn't much strength just on its own. More than happy to help mate

I tried to get my bonnet pins sorted but failed lol I think I'll get a bonnet from a scrappy and start again lol

Couldn't get them to lign up after id put the locking bits in the bonnet doh lol and managed to brake one of the fixings, so after I'm sorted for mot new bonnet new pins and start again

Ah I see what you mean, on my boot I left the pin latched shut whilst I drilled the holes, that way it carnt move and it will line up bang on :)

Il be fitting my GRP bonnet for the aerocatchs before paint so il post a little how to up if that helps

Being a coilpack k11 I think I need some sort of mapping done which is what's putting me off a little

Looks good Paul, how are you going to make it air tight?

I'm going to metal fill all the edges and sand them back smooth mate, where the front piece joins above the engine will have a rubber seal around it so the front piece can move a little when the engine moves around :)

Looks nice, plastic rocker will defo help stopping heat transfer to the box
I would worry more about the heat off the mani.
Might be worth considering some heat protection in that area? Even just reflective tape? Think I would double skin that bottom section with insulation between:)
Looks really good though!! Very pro!

Cheers mate :) I was thinking that very thing I've got a shield I made from Nimbus grill it's really good stuff! That should help and I've got some heat reflective mat that's for bonnet I'm going to put on the underside all the way along the underneath...

Shield might need a bit of a tweak

Cheers. Was hoping to finish my box up this weekend, but engineering bloke I get to cut my plates hasn't been back all week!
So fishing instead.

Cheers for help on LC-1 too, got it powered up along with all the gauges, jus need to weld lug on, and finished plenum, and start tuning

How do you find your belts Paul? That's exactly where my rear bar is on the Micra....

They're quite comfy Dave, they are a little slack in the video but even when they are pulled tight on race day theres no "pull" down from them they just hold you snug :)

Scrutineer was more than happy with the angle as well
