Skinners Sprint Micra

Think mine will get opened out a little but I need a smaller pilot jet aswell. Without having my own rolling road its a case of trial and error with educated guesstimation along the way. Really want to find a dynojet needle kit aswell.

I think I need bigger pilot jets, are they available ? It's just I've wound mine out all the way and still getting lean readings

I seem to be getting good AFRs at idle, cruise and half throttle it's only full whack that it's mega rich, I'll just have to see what the new jets do.

I'm sure I've seen dynojet kits online but so far only from the US, if I can find a kit il send you a link mate

P.s have you had the needle out if your carbs, I couldn't see how they come apart from the diaphragm when I had a quick look

Use one off the black screws from the diagram covers, screw into the needle, then use long nose pliers to pull out, luckily on mine, I have adjustable needles.

Yeah they can be found on eBay etc. From reading online if your mix screws are more than 2.5 turns out then bigger pilot jets are needed.

I think we're all using different carbs but the principles are the same. My needles just pull out.

Sweet! I've wound mine to the last thread and still to lean.
But they are off a cbr 600 in a 1000 cc engine.

Brilliant thanks bud il give that a go over the weekend, I'm hoping mine are adjustable too! If not il see if I can shim the needle as needed

You don't know till you ask :)

The needles go in, so they defo can be removed, been on a few cbr forums and shims should work fine if no adjustable parts

Sweet I'd been watching a few YouTube videos on different setups, will sign up to the CBR forum for a read as well.

I should stop reading and just start tinkering like you guys eh :)

Haha, they both have there merits, I'm the opposite, I tinker, mess it up, then read how I'm supposed to do it!

Well today went well at the sprint, two slippy practice runs in the afternoon & I was marginally quicker than last year. Had a look over the in car footage for some tips, 3 runs tonight and I was 3 second quicker again! Chuffed with that :) pics and videos to follow over the weekend
