Hi All,
Its been dry today, very very windy (about as most as I've ever seen the pod) I'm currently sitting in the queue for the startline whilst they are having lunch. I have done 3 runs so far, none very good tbh. (and only I think the first was 15.7) I dont know the next two, but the second was ok ish start (too long on the launch control) and i didnt miss any gears was probably just below an average drive. But again with the mad head wind I dont know what time I got I would guess a low 15. 3'rd run with nos this time missed 3rd gear again, (worried im going to break that) I more having a laugh than taking this too seriously as its just too windy and dusy on the the track. Im not getting traction untill 3rd gear. Infact it was so bad i thought I had nos on on the first run due the the crazy amounts of wheelspin. The race fuel seems great. I have needed to map it richer than normal, but no signs of knock at all so on the 4th run I have advanced the ignition a bit, and hopefully ill change gear right and see how it goes then.. I dont have any pics at the mo, im sure others do. James also ran and I think he got a 17s something
The ST feels strong but I just need to try and pull it all together. Still have another 3 runs left and if I have time ill post later about how I get on...
The nos kit is a Wizards of Nos kit. They are simply there best out there. Its wired into the e-manage and is a 25bhp single stage shot that comes in at 2500 rpm at 90% throttle or above. With the cooling effect on the inlet temp from the intercooler I should expect if the turbo is not too restrictive upto 220bhp now. Either way the increase in mid range power is simply unreal. The people who follow with interest this car would probably be amused to know that if the roads are damp I get wheelspin now in 4th gear... and torque steer is unreal - virtually impossible to keep in a straight line!
