i,m just "picking it up as i go" too mate i,ve just changed the camera frame-rate to 30fps (from 15) and i,ll try later
aye, plainly put eh paul
you will be able to apply more engine load than me tho (from your live data) my engine load is gonna be quite small while revving it in neutral (which is compounded by the light flywheel too eh)
thats what the dyno guy,s tend to do when roadtesting eh paula hard pull through the rev's in third should be enough?
aye, a bob-weight and vacuum operated dizzy is crude 3D i guess andyI'll be interested in your results. See they'll compare to mine
Wont a 2D map be ok providing you can set the map knowing your load values. Or is something that has be varied under load? In terms of WOT use.
And vac can deal with the low load/rpm advance?
for boosting yes, for n/a, i doubt itBit of ghetto timing tweaking
Can a dual vac dizzy contribute to a load signal similar to MAP sensors?
That's ok thenfor boosting yes, for n/a, i doubt it
here,s a vid of the car jacked up 1 side and running in 3rd gear paul (to simulate some load) you can see it holds roughly base timing when loaded (20 deg paint line) but the line drifts to the left when slowly revved (45ish deg of advance )
and this one with the T/P/S disconnected, where its fully advanced under load eh
yes, fit your t/p/s mateIs there much I can do to get the advance to about 20 under load to get a bit more bhp?
yes, fit your t/p/s mate
The obvious is the hardest to spotDoh it's been a long day! Cheers bud il have a look at where I can mount it in line
The obvious is the hardest to spot
Update?
tps should be about .5v @ idle and 4.5v @ wot iirc paul
Don't suppose you have ever run a transponder? Black thing on the cars front?
If so where was it mounted/what was it's size?
If it helps ours is cabled tied behind the grillDon't suppose you have ever run a transponder? Black thing on the cars front?

I haven't mate tbh, if they are anything like kart transponders (imagine they would be) they yet are only small, 1" x 3".
All my events are run by bean timing so it's just beam splitters up front for me
Timing plates?Sorry mate I think that's what I meant... The black rod things, timing struts i thinks the other name is?
I was caught out for mine being too high, so I'll just make a new one, No worries

That's a good point. You'll need to get one made up for April eh fella
That's a good point.
We got any regs yet
No worries still looking forward to going for a playNo reg's unfortunately fella il send the link over as soon as they are though!

Yeh I was just sleeting through the other night, carnt waitI did mate. You stuck some vids up didn't you? It looks like a decent event ... I'll keep watching em see if I can learn the route
Yea I can do mate sounds like a good idea to meYeh I was just sleeting through the other night, carnt wait
I've got loads if u car if you want to have a look I can email them over or what have you
You just use self tappers to fit the bracket to the body?
Just two little bolts mate, it's only attached to the car 3 days a year lol
Well done one your first rally too mate!!Haha fair enough, cheers
