As you know what your talking about mate,..
..im not going to tell you to fit some temporary shafts before you make your final mounts, Just to make sure all the CV joints and shafts clear everything well.. Checking the Steering lock to lock etc..
..just make sure you make allowances for it..
After the work I think youll regret fitting only the 1.6 and not the 2.0 as its similar levels of work..
Looking promising though mate..
what?....the sr20det will slip staight in did you say?...... go on, ill give you £50 to get it done...another 2.0 turbo k10...scaring a few people all over the damned place..

this aint true..But they are all in SIMILAR places... as you could see from the K10 MA10/MA12 mounts going to the GA16 mounts..
sr20 engine mounts are in the same place in the primmy but the 2.0 gearbox mount is on the top of the box were the 1.6 is front side.
camera packed up today so no pics
Today i cut away the old ma chassie mounts and got the ga engine in the position were i think it will be fixed. The bottom crank pully is only about 15mm off the chassie just abit more than what batch had.
Do the ga inner cv's fit the ma shafts????????????
i was speaking to quickdraw months ago, he has done this conversion before but i think its quite straight forward
it isnt in straight, from them pics it looks as if the gearbox mount is to far forward
forget about the dots on the wires they mean nothing.
bob, what car/year did the engine come out from and ill dig in the manuals tomorrow

Nice work bob, what power you expecting? Also why not keep injection?
looks good.... will be front heavy though i reckon because k10s weigh nothing as it is.
15-20kg bag of ballast in the boot would even it out a bit around corners i reckon though
extra weight will get the power down better
true, but it depends where and how you drive the car....
besides you get lots of small 1.6 cars..
My k11 interior has been stripped and the car is obviously much quicker off the mark and handles better but in the wet its not so good. I threw a bag of sand in the rear bootwell of approx 10kg and then drove it in the wet the results were excellent car felt more in control. I was just speaking from experience, but everyone to thier own.
