Are you pre face converting it Ben?
Clearcoated Wing and drove to Scotland. The Clearcoat seems to hide My mistakes well. Will sand back and polish another day.

Thank You It was just a driveway rattle can Job.Looks like a good job
Better than what I've managed before!
If you use clearcoat and a color thats not mettallic you can always fix runs, just sand them flat, the clear hides the sanding marks that's why base coat clear coat jobs are the easiestThank You It was just a driveway rattle can Job.

You haven't owned a fast car yet eitherI've never owned a 'slow' car until now, used to have a 1.6 fiesta so the 10 feels pretty sluggish!
On a plus side it just makes the rally car feel even better
You haven't owned a fast car yet either
Ohhh you cheeky bastard!
That hurt
Don't worry. Fast is all about perception
What about a Nissan Silvia 1.8 turbo - quick (?) I thought it was.Don't worry. Fast is all about perception
Oh dear. Hope it's not too bad. I always jack under the suspension as even though my sills are fine they just can't handle the stress of being jacked.Today I took my rear spacers off and put my steels back on, while doing so I noticed that while I was "Jacking the car up" on the drivers rear the car was not going up, turns out the sill was going up, into the car, so that's a slight problem...View attachment 49140
I also replaced my speedo sender thing in the gear box, turns out it had snapped the speedo gear was a right pain in the ass to get back out, but its out and the one off my old 1l box took its place
Collected a disc rear beam complete with calipers etc... all to add to my growing list of micra spares
Good thing is you have 9 other fingers lol!Dislocated my little finger polishing it. Got it stuck in the bonnet vent. You know one of those urrgh moments when you look at it and think, that's not right. Didn't get chance to take a photo as I had to put it back in place to finish polishing. Lol. Bloody hurt though.
Past experience dictates always use the specified jack points, I learnt the hard way by jacking up my old Toyota Hi-lux Surf result straight through the sills and chassis!Today I took my rear spacers off and put my steels back on, while doing so I noticed that while I was "Jacking the car up" on the drivers rear the car was not going up, turns out the sill was going up, into the car, so that's a slight problem...View attachment 49140

Will do, it the calipers which are the important parts as they are so rare / expensive.and worth giving em a complete rebuild cos the handbrake mechanism inside tends to dry & seize.

Muhm, I drove a 1l 16 plate C1 today, what a horrible, slow clump of plastic that was, made my 1l 15 year old Micra seem powerful
They are faster than a 1.0L K11 though aren't they?
60 in 14.30secs and 98mph

My BM worksIt's alright, my rally car is faster than any of his cars atm... Because mine work
My BM works
Passed its mot much to my surprise
111mph from c1Only 98? I've had 115 out of my Micra, And when I said slow I meant, you put your foot down and it feels like 3 years later it takes off, at least with my micra it only seems like 2 years
Mine has an elcheapo induction kit and a stupid exhaust, basically stockMy 1.0 K11 is going 90MPH when the speedo says 100 so I dunno if it'd be a true 115MPH... I know at 100MPH indicated mine is absolutely flat out no more go. That said maybe yours isn't stock.
