Eurgh o don't like this. Now k have put so much work in to her I am getting really protective of how she is treated. Really worried she will die on the dyno.

Guys with the k11 cg13de engine. Starting from the front of the car. What are the notches on the timing wheel and where do I need to be setting it too? Should I just fully retard it?

the 2nd (yellow) notch is tdc chris, i would set it there if you want to run low boost

Is tdc the safest? Or the closest mark towards the front of the car? That's 5 degree after tdc?

I probably run more boost than that turbo will generate with wastegate open because of my ram effect...
 
okay so it says that idle should be 600+-50 mine can sit at 688.. right so..

I have data scan on... she is now warm and all that. go to set timing mode.. check

connect up gun and time.

The notches go from the left. btdc( 20 15 10 5) TDC Atdc (5) I want the 15.. or can i put ten just to be safe please frank :D
 
ahh my brain

right so when I do the timing with data scan.. do I need a particular rpm? I cant imagine I would need it but the manual says about refering to the rpm idle. sorry about this guys.
 
You dont need to run the engine Chris. You're setting dynamic timing and the spark map

Simply the engine to TDC (the yellow mark)
Unplug cyl 1 ht lead at the dizzy
Mark where the dizzy plug is on the dizzy (I'll get you a pic?)
Then rotate your engine to the 10Btdc on your crank pulley
using the mark you made on the dizzy... loosen your dizzy and rotate it so the mark you made is level with the centre of your rotor arm

Sorry for all the panicking guys. Sire it has jammed ur feeds up. So now the turbo has been spinning up and getting warm. Can we expect that the one odd mm side to side play is an issue? I shall run the car to see if that goes away with oil running through

Oh anti roll bars are going back on. Prefer it I think. I will raise her a bit first actually I think. And make the rear dampers harder.

Km well dampers need to be stiffens they are set to rally mode anyway of still no happy I shall as rear first kk?

"Ok, well my rear dampers are set to a softer rally damprning setting currently, I will try setting them to a stiffer setting, and if I am still not satisfied I will refit the rear anti roll bar"
If that's an accurate translation then sounds like a plan :)
