Lol my form of racing is rather pathetic.usually just see can right lane it to 70-80 then get in the slow lane for some fuel efficient 58 mph like an old man

Yeah not interested in doing 130 in a car not designed to do over 60. I can do high speeds when driving not Feking around with boy racers. You need full concentration and many drivers are unpredictable . plus any car can get to 100 lol but no many can get to 70 fast. So I find that more interesting. Yeah I like corners. Corners are fun. Yeah mine will no doubt be shire as I need it to set up properly man.

70-80 is the speed most things happen at
I always whinge at idiots on the road and I'm determined not to become one of em too :)

Corners are where your car shows itself to be well built or just a fail
Of course this entirely dependant on the driver :p
 
And your monkey boy racers thinking their wheelspins make em faster... and think a tyre chirrup is pushing it to the max

They were only running 26 psi iirc... they're in the bin now :p
 
Well that's all progress so all is well :)
NGK iridium plugs
50/50 mix of 5w30 castrol magnetec and mobil1 0w50... slightly more expensive but you can't beat it :)

I'm good thanks... just waiting on this bloody swirl pot which I fear wont be here today :( so I'll finish the little jobs off and wire my pumps in ready :)
 
Yeah they do matey :) thats your male of plug... its the rating you need to find out. Same plugs used on an sr20 should be ok.. you're only running low boost until its mapped right?
 
Swirl pot is like a mini fuel tank. Its more for track use. As when you're hard cornering you can starve the pump etc of fuel.
But because these pots are little they wont starve thr engine of fuel on hard cornering..
You get one fuel pump to constsntly feed the swirl pot. One high pressure to feed the engine

Carbs are slightly different they hold fuel in the bowls. But I'm building it so its suitable for future purposes :)
 
Well non at all till mapping which hopefully could be done in a week or so? Need to ring him up really and see what he suggests

You can run standard plugs on no boost :)
You'll hear them referred to as 'hotter' or 'colder' plugs

Mapping can be done easily in a week :) if the mapper has experience they can lay you a decent base map pretty much straight away then tweak it to your needs :)
 
I think Ed at fusion will have it down in no time. Ah okay will ask him what type he suggests. That swirl pot idea is clever I may consider on the future.

He'll recommend colder plugs I'm sure. Identifiable by a larger model number on the plug itself :)
Turbo air/fuel is hotter and more condensed than what you find in an n/a engine... so a hot plug tip can cause pre ignition. Hence colder plugs :)

Right flow tested and all that injectors are on their way back. 90 quid later ffs. Lol. Fun fun. Need distilled water. Wheel inner arches.heat shielding. Water reservoir. Few other bits.
