The 1.3 Turbo Battle####

Ta for the thread size Skinner. I actually went and grabbed my calipers and figured it out in the end. God I love these things.

Right so I am having a right pain with these oil fittings guys. I get the feeling some of these threads are 1/8npt and others 1/8 bpst. So I am having a laugh with the guy on the phone @ merlin Motorsport over the setup and what the hell I have in my hands here. Will wait for the new fittings and we shall see if they fit and of they are not far off I will PTFE and tweak up and hope for the best. This engine needs to be in and running. Killing me.

Why thank you terry. Ikr... Its not going to last long... It never does eh. Just going to piss about until the stuff in the post turns up. Want to fit the feeds on the back of the engine before it goes in the bay.

Awesome, yeh the 5.1 1.3 box is getting to be too short a ratio i think, either back to 1.3 or a facelift 1.0 :)

Ive always found the coolants are much the same, so long as its suited to alli i dont think you can go far wrong

The red and blue type can't be mixed :) their additives react. Not dangerous but not healthy
 
Colours are no longer to go by apparently lol. Euro car parts was rung and they suggested what Scott has. Alliminum alloy engine coolant triple qx stuff. Gunna go buy myself some distilled water me thinks

Blue stuff is alreet :) its just a synthetic version of the green stuff
I've stuck with the green stuff it came with :)

Just shove a 1.3 in it and be done with it no?

i measured the blanking plug last night chris, and get it to british standard pipe tapered mate (tho npt is so close in size that they fit ok)
Ta frank :) yeah its one thread per inch off if I am correct with my research.
