Right guys Ive got time to pop back on the forum
OK.... to put some more detail into the topic of conversation.... So you can see it from my side of the welder
Ok Ive quoted £350 per manifold as long as we can get about 5 people interested....
Now to me I dont mind if its a custom job or one that can be duplicated but to warrant my expense and time making a Jig we need to have a confirmed amount of customers. Also we will need to have the Flanges Cut with a CNC water Jet cutter and to make that economical we need to cut the flanges in one go (otherwise the costs spiral)
For a custom One off then I need the car to build it on.
To build a Jig & Why, Actually a number of Jigs will need to be made to allow the sections of the Headers to be produced and then welded up to one piece so all fits and flanges are in the right place. Ive talked about having a car for a period of time, long enough to build/Develop these. The Jigs will allow members to Receive the Headers in the post ready to Fit to there Car. The Jigs dont actually save me any money / time but they will save Micra Club members time for sure as no car will be need to reproduce after the Jig is made.
Now to be honest Ive not gone down this Group buy thing before.... I've just quote the price that the job can be done for.... But there are benefits to having the Jig produced...
This is how Id like to approach this project if you are happy to proceed... First I need gaskets for the different Flanges so these can be drawn up in Cad for the CNC machinist.
Payment... Id like a small deposit from each customer (not now.. but when the green light is on for the flanges to be cut) to cover the cost of the flange's This will be none refundable if you want to pull out.... But you will own a nice Stainless flange or two..to remind you of what your missing out on
Full Payment would be required before the Headers were Posted. P&P would be £10 inc VAT
Warranty..... I will give an agreement to look after my customers for the life time they own the car. That means in 10 years time if you find a crack on the headers then you just give me a call and I will solve the problem. No monthly check stamps in the warranty box or any old rubbish like that.. Just a proper service.
Other Info
I stock a full Stainless Steel Flexi Pipe with the high flow smooth I-Lok internals. These were made to my own specs and are what I use on the Race car applications Im involved with.
I also stock our 200 Cell Race flow Cats that we sell to racers in the Stock Hatch Race Series for the 750MC, these will out flow anything any Micra Engine can fire at it (Thats, turbocharged, supercharged or NA)
O2 Sensor Bungs can included if you request
So hope this helps a bit more......
One thing I would ask for for my effort is an Micra Org Members Approval of the Product when completed.
Ok thats enough from me for now
Cheers

There is a Rolling road just being set up over the road from us @ G&G Motorsport. If we get the header project off the ground then Im sure a Micra Org Dyno day could be organised and I may be tempted to contribute to a couple of Trophy's for the top dogs of the day ( Might even have our 76 Corvette finished for a run:unclesam

Do you want to stop by mine on the way and pick up a lower mounting alternator Nex?
We should really have a Dyno day after and see how they all go too
