For doing 42 in a 30. Was an honest mistake - the road was a 40 but now part has been made 30. I explained that to the officers and apologised. They took down name, address, dob and gave me a telling off. I asked if I was getting a ticket and one responded with "Do you want one?" to which I said no then he said "Well don't speed". What does he mean? Does he mean I'm getting one for speeding (i.e. don't speed and you won't get one?) or does he simply mean "Don't do it again?". He's asked how long I've been driving (6 years) and how many points I have (none).
Not in any way claiming I shouldn't get a ticket as I was an idiot not to pay enough attention but just want to know either way.
