what did you do to your micra today ?

made it run again. test with emerald and works great. take it off and back to standard and it wouldnt run. distributor rebuilt this morning and start first turn! :D

185 55 14. rears shredded imediatly :) they tryd fliping the arch lip inside out in reverse. front need an inch phantom rise:)
rears i havent a clue yet.

Cleaned and got more mouldings. New wheel 185/60/13... flies around corners.

The picture is outside the post office waiting to pick up my lowering springs. Fun times.

That's what I thought. Gonna have all the weight of the car pressing down on those two bolts. Won't last 2 minutes...
 
you could wind the collars up till the helper spring is coilbound zed, (they,re coilbound when you drop the jack down anyway eh)

true but having the helpers seems to have stopd the car jumping into the air very slightly
m12 bolts next ? .and reinforce the corsa mount
 
Collected the bits from the welders (spot on job), all ready to put it back together...minus the extra jubilee clips i forgot about :oops:
 
Made my car look less girly - sprayed the chrome trims on the front. Biggest pain was wet sanding the chrome with 400 grit wet and dry. Sprayed with matt black 'industrial spray paint' from Toolstation. Got to cure for 24 hours then they can go back on :):

Sorted this morning with that neat on/off/on/off/on/off trick ^_^

can't believe nissan charged me £35 last time this happened...my dad is no longer allowed to get stuff from the back seat himself
(I will be levering forward the seat for him)

Next today (weather finally permitting Yay!!!) Masking off and priming my bonnet, doors and front wings...
ready for finish paint on Monday (as long as the sun doesn't decide to bog off again :p )
 
WDIDT ? failed the scruting at shakies :rolleyes: 2 camcover breathers "open-air" (ie, no catch cans) and radiator outlet "open-air" (no expansion bottle)
place was jammed with some cool dragsters tho
kart in front has 4 cyl superbike engine, a blower and nos !

he told me to go and scrounge some tubing off someone, and use coke cans and zipties matt, but the 1 camcover spout is busted off (plastic camcover) and would be a mission to attach a pipe to,
i only went in order to get a timeslip to post on here tbh, the place was jammed and the 1.5 hr que between runs is no fun, i,m really happy with it mechanically for now, getting amazing fuel milage with the high comp and ghetto fuel reg off boost, and that extra 50hp whenever i boot it :).
next on the agenda is to lose another 100kg :cool: including alloy axle, narrow tracked for megga dish (without poke) rear coily-ed and cambered

ah ok, I have my camcover and radiator reserviour hoses cut short and plugged with rubber and gasket sealer:rolleyes:
this rear axle sounds promising:)
 
fitted my wheel with the wrong boss :/ so no horn and no self cancel on indicator, so waiting for my new boss to turn up :)

After some advice from frank (thanks!) i attacked the remains of the old bush with a grinder my dad had and finally leveled out my suspension :) no more crabbing!

Also replaced that pig of a 19mm nut with a spare wheelnut as the original almost fully rounded off on removal.
 
WDID: Stripped my 48K Miler CG13 Down to the Cyl head, seems in great shape!!
Applied my MSC stickers to the side window, not done rear, not sure if i will,
Started re-conditioning my Interior ready for my recaro racing seats!, managed to do the boot, zinc primer complete, got the mid section and front to prime, then a thin layer of paint for the interior.
 
Get a rubber mallet on those arches r reg!

more like the edge of a club hammer first then the pin type body work one.you have to support each blow with your hand other side place your palm and apply pressure.exactly like the guy in u toob just less bangage.rust proofing bef/aft every stage
was tempted to pull the lip outward and flare it out:) sort the sharp edge then.

Why leave it on the bolts anyway? what was wrong with the spacers in the 1st pic?

tonights thriller. rear arch lips bangd in neatly.seal em in to stop dust and crust entering.
rear springs packd from beneath 1.5mm rise.
