Going testing in West Wales today. First time driving a 1.3 so big comparisons need to be made to the 1.0! Excited :)
 
That's just driving around not testing :p

I know I know! In my defence, they're the tyres I need for the rally in two weeks, and after a few laps the rubber started setting down on the track and I could smell my(dads) pennies burning :p Pretty boring place to test anyway, it's way too greasy to properly plant it into a corner.

I'm REALLY not a good fast driver... I just like knowing my car isn't the weak link ;)

Fair enough :) can't be wasting the tyres you need.
Normally on testing I usually throw the car into awkward situations to how it reacts abd generally push it harder than necessary to expose any weak points. But if you've tyres to save its a tad difficult?

It was mainly just to be sure the 1.3 was running fine, I'd prefer it break there than on Stage 1. Just generalized it as ''testing'' :p
The only thing we really played with was suspension setup because it had been majorly soft after the last event in the rain at Anglesey.

That's whyi throw mine about so if it's gonna break anywhere it'll break there and then :D

Suspensions usually where the competition is won or lost :)

The rest of the car has had a good old testing over the past 3 years for sure! Poor thing!:rolleyes:
It would have been a comparison of Group A Airbox to GA16 Airbox if it didn't hammer down with rain too.
Not enough shelter to work in and it was torrential rain.
And a kart track covered in greasy wet rubber+Yoko 48 Slicks+Torrential Rain would have equaled damage probably ;)
 
Had a nice 70 mile round trip today, just short of lands end .... lovely driving road. Bends, bends and hairpins, my girl stuck to it like bird cack to paint - enjoyed that, and gave her a bit of a blow out from her usual shorties.

I used to use a £20 gazebo from argos and tie it to the service van :) not the best but something
Slicks + Rain = trouble regardless. At least you've had a taste of the 1.3 :)

Haha you're not as fast as your car are you!
We have a huge one to fit two cars under but for the sake of two hours testing it's way too heavy to drag along, especially when it's windy!
I've been doing Junior F1000 for three years and slicks have been the control tyres for the past year and a half, wet or dry you had to use them!

I am when necessary but sat on the sofa staring gormlessly at my phone.... definitely not :p
That's ridiculous, a slick in the wet is dangerous.. I know rally car = taking risks etc and pushing it but not allowing a treaded tyre :/
Never done f1000 started in group N and A so we've had options

At least it's only front end eh, bit easier to find than rear/side
Exactly. I need new front bumper, new air con radiator possibly radiator. I was gonna change the headlights anyway as I already started modifying these

Thing is I did run up a woman's arse at about 5mph and damaged her bumper a little nothing else and she says she speak to her husband (who I bet has gone ooooh few £££ there for whiplash) and they are going through insurance. Luckily I've got protected Ncb so it's not all bad :)

Just finding a import front Micra bumper will be hard though.
 
Fitted my nismo shocks and springs, sitting at a nice height now :) also got my GA airbox fitted. Am please with the results, except both top mounts on the nismo shcks are shot and i dont have the means to get them off :( is there an easy way?
