i,ve transfered a complete maf assy over before matt, i cheated tho and cut 2 little bridges of casing away, instead of de-soldering the connector (worked fine )No actual work but some thinking.....
Given my issues with the GA15 TB which i fitted last, now i think it is the afm/hot wire at fault causing it to run very rich, as i can see the wire glowing red.... I have re-read the soldering K11 TB guide which is good, but i do have a spare good TB, can i transfer over the circuit board completely ? Since i know the circuit board works fine it should work. Thoughts ??
no pics, just remove all the screws and you will see the little lip that stops the whole assy lifting outOk so it can be done then I will look into more at the weekend, any more pics or details about what you did?
2 little sawcuts in the casing mattOk can you lift it over the lip or does that need grinding away?
I have printed off the soldering guide, does anyone know the ideal value's to test the circuit ? I.e. resistance of the AFM ? So i can test it.
What are you using to clean it this well ? Fancy working on a rally car ?
the maf should be reading .5v with the ign on, and 1v - 1.3v @ idle mattI have printed off the soldering guide, does anyone know the ideal value's to test the circuit ? I.e. resistance of the AFM ? So i can test it.
