I've read some people use WD40 too.Light spray of GT85 is all mine ever got
If you use the correct amount of oil on your filter you don't get MAF issues. Everyone drowns it in oil... light misting is all it needs.I've read some people use WD40 too.
I've given mine a light coating of K&N oil. Really odd stuff.
Very light, rubbed some between my fingers and it disappeared. Very little residue.
I also washed my old filter...
I was gonna buy an aerodeck but got the P10 insteadThe Aerodecks are awesome, wish I got one
I got the squeezy bottle and dripped lightly through the pleatsIf you use the correct amount of oil on your filter you don't get MAF issues. Everyone drowns it in oil... light misting is all it needs.

Small particles like pollen and stuff can get through. I've never oiled one before. They won't catch much muck if you don't?! I use the K&N stuff - I've heard horror stories of people using WD40, engine oil etc but K&N stuff has animal lard as an ingredient that keeps it super tacky.
Not really, the pulsive nature of the intake flow causes the fibres to vibrate and catches even microscopic particles, hence cotton pleat filters being better than traditional mechanical tack barrier filters like foam or paper that trade off between flow rate and caught particulate size...Small particles like pollen and stuff can get through. David Vizard tested them a fair bitThis means Google lied to me!
My pancake filters came with oil and a bottle of K&N own brand filter cleanerWhat do people use to clean theirs? A bit of carb cleaner seemed to work well for me. Would it worth giving it a good soak?
Soak in fairy liquid and rinse through from inside out. This is a green cotton one, so I'm not too sure what to use. It's way cleaner than it was, but could still be cleaner
You'll forever be in the rear view mirror of an EP3.Sadly getting rid of the Micra in the next few months. Getting a pretty FN2 Civic however.
For yours?Canards. Yay or Nay?
Yeah. Discrete black ones on black bumperFor yours?
Look out of place with a proper splitter too imhoYeah. Discrete black ones on black bumper
Canards. Yay or Nay?
I've made one for H701 for when its on track. I don't mind sharing ideasHmm, still need to make a proper splitter... we'll get on it before JAE maybe if I have time
As a few of you lot are mechanics, do any of you know of any PROPER reasons not to get one?
Err, it's not a Micra?
I really like em reliable nowadays too
None really, depends on the spec and engine? Blue and me sometimes issue, get a 1.4 T-Jet though straight swap for the turbo from a bravo for 150bhp
Because I see them everywhere and mostly on tick :L
Just get another micra :L
Or a 1.4 almera
either way keep it Nissan/jap
I test drove a grande punto a while ago. Real nice drive if you can.. doA 1.0 micra costs 400 a year more for me... I'd rather spend more on a car and not waste money on insurance tbh
I test drove a grande punto a while ago. Real nice drive if you can.. do
I got a celica GT4 in the end though
I know right... that's why you don't trust apprentices to pump your tyres upI think maybe a gt4 would be pushing it... Getting hard to find now too, pratts keep writing them off

Mine was at 30-35mphHaha excuses eh, never the drivers fault... If at all possible, blame the navvy
Mine was at 30-35mph
28psi in the rr/lt tyre. 30psi in the rest. Then add that to a crumbled away road with an inch or 2 drop on a dry dirt. On a tight left right S bend. And it flicked my back end right out
Sometimes there's no time to react or understand what just happened. The above was all I could gather from those few seconds of road scanning beforehand.. started it back up and drove home (30 seconds away) then sold it
AyeI know I know, just pulling your leg
Horrendously slow though!Get a Toyota Aygo Scott. They're awesome fun
They sound like porschesHorrendously slow though!
Cousins does alright, decent enough for commuting eh
