Post a pic (cool car or obviously car related) that has a link to the previous pic. Add a guess to the previous link as well if you like.

Lets make continuing the chain more important than guessing the link - and get more cool pictures than text. Yeah SSR Mk3's.

Edit - Nah thats bollards - no continuing the chain until the link has been guessed.

Your last pic's not working Mark.
And I was going for Model of car(toyota corona) btw:wasntme:

edit:
Ah I get what you was doing, I thought you might have gotten it wrong, should have known better:redface:

Thanks for the help there Shaun - I'd never have known that there was a 722 special edition (refering presumably to the number of the car raced by Stirling Moss in the Mille Miglia). Anyhoo, the link is 722.

From there we go to...

Carlton140310.jpg

Nope dont get it and i need sitting down and beaten into me, never the less its a cool thread so keep it going with my bump :grinning:

My guesses would be either produced in limited numbers and all in the same colour scheme, and maybe something with British production/tuning involvement. But I'm not 100% on either.

edit:
Do you mean you don't get the game or the link?
The game is easy just find the link between the last two cars pictured, name that link and post a pic of another nice car that links with the last picture:)

I'm going to say i've got it:)

Good going Matt, I was going for F1 team involvment in the development of a road car.. I'm still thinking about the link onwards from Lotus Carlton to Carerra RSR. Sean, I guess yours on from that is different generations of Carerra model.

Ah ok, I was pretty close haha, I still found two vague links:)

I struggled to find a car that linked with the Carlton. Ignore the models, and look at the cars in the pictures, not even the cars, but the wheels;)

And from Seans 356, we go to:

d3059aad.jpg

I'm still stuck Matt, the wheels on the Carlton are Ronals, and the Porsche is wearing Fuchs, they're even center lock and the Vauxhall is on conventional studs/bolts.

Ahhh, got it the Photographer's name and the brand of tyres. The resolution of my flap top screen was letting me down.

Shaun, are you going with stance?

Well done on the photographers name and brand of tyres link, but I wasn't making it that hard :p I was just going for bigger dished/lower offset rear wheels.

So what's the link between Shauns 356 and my Ghia?
I think we should have to name the link before creating another one imo.

So, previous link was: Stance
(this next link is not stance again btw:))

An interesting thread so I'll give this another bump.
It's also been a week since the last pic, so I'll fill in the link and get it rolling again.

Previous link: De-locked & De-handled

This link is real easy:
Popemobil_Mai_2007.jpg

Mercedes Benz - surely not? Stance is a religion, as is catholisism? the pope mobile is on air? both specced with bullet proof glass/armour plating?

Lolz I've ballsed up that one good and proper - excuse my lack of knowlege of late model MB soft roaders. The Datsun is an S30 G-nose, The MB is of couse not a GL.
(I believe the most recent generation of the MB offroader is a GL - im not thinking about the G-Wagen, which is something entirely more functional). Have this as my onward link instead:

that's fine lol.
I got the datsun with the g-nose kit, I'd thought you might have linked it with the wheels, as I don't know what they are.

So going by your previous link.
the link is: M (as in M-class and M1)

ditto

Previous link: M1 and DMC 12 share the same designer.

Ahh, I'd forgotten about this, I was going to do a bit of research, I had a feeling it would be something like that.

So its an Autozam AZ-1...which would link nicely to the M1 but we have moved on so that to DMC-12...Hmmm. Hyphenated model names, or is it gull wing doors.

Can I do a link now?

Yep it's a Mazdaspeed Autozam AZ-1, tbh I never heard of that until I googled Suzuki Cara(same car almost). DMC 12 isn't hyphenated I believe, but yes the link was gullwing doors, they both have rotary engines too iirc.

Can I do a link now?

You found a link:) Go ahead.

The Delorean definately has a Renault V6 hanging out the back, and there are an aweful lot of references to the model name DMC-12 around the interweb. Prehaps its a grey area - stainless steel grey obviously :p .

For the link, we travel to the GDR..

Come on now chaps, at least have a go at the link - Autozam AZ-1 to Wartburg 535, it not that tricky.

Edit: Rules changed - guess the link, earn the privalage of posting the next one.
