GET BACK IN THE WORKSHOP. I don't hear welding!K10 FTW
Six of one half a dozen of the other. More to go wrong this way i think. Technique is something learnt by practice. Lots of. This jobs been quite bad tbh.I wish I had one is it cheaper as well as better is you get a compressor and a gun compared to rattle cans??
You won't.... my welders still brokeGET BACK IN THE WORKSHOP. I don't hear welding!
Where would you advise me to look for a compressor and gun then, sooner I get the practice on the better
3 bar is plenty for spraying eh you will want more for air tools and the like.Tonnes of reviews and diy advisories sites. If I were to do it again o would get 150 litre and about 8+ bar of pressure. I did mine with 40 litre and 2 bar i think
Exactly that I want more man power for larger tools and continous spray with less power drop. Its all money money money. I borrowed to avoid the cost.3 bar is plenty for spraying eh you will want more for air tools and the like.
But the cylinder size makes a big difference, as does compressor power. The bigger cylinder acts a buffer so when you spray the pressure does not drop so much and a bigger compressor means it will get back up to pressure quicker. Research is the key eh.
Yeah I will do Jen, oh and not trying to steal your thread but I saw a white super s in silver lake this morning I was heartbroken could of cryed, might try and take the lump though and the clock was on about 97k so I can rebuild it and stick it in the 1.0...you know that your car now matches your rotary airer (washing line)?
getting there...just rear doors and bonnet?
My dad got an air compressor from a garage sale...£5 I think?
...he almost cried with joy LOL
It's all a bit noisy for my liking, but dad loves the thing
...of course by the time he's set it up to pump a little air in my tyres I've got the foot pump outta my boot and done two wheels already
...keep an eye on Gumtree...you never know
Youre making a helicopter wings on a rotating arm... i knew it!View attachment 24208View attachment 24209primered waiting for top coat

Yeah slowly Jen... slowly....those wings look particularly good Chris, seems like you've got your technique sorted
coming together nicely now ^_^
I would have cried
Gah, might have to take a gander myself, hold some kind of ceremony in memorium
Yeah slowly Jen... slowly
Ta mate when you doing yours?Looking sweeeeeet

It just adds up and up ay? I think I have a month left of hard working. I need to find at least a grand to get her finished mot tax and insurance deposit. Let's see what happens pork... Telling you though I will write the thing offKnow how you fee!!!
So close to starting it back up, then I find something else
So frustrating, but be worth in the end
There is a reason why I don't have nice things lol. well at least I am not the only one lol. Bloody feels like it though. You noticed how the turbo projects are always a million miles from each other?Don't jinx yourself!
I'm about the same, with the time and money situation, well it's more a case of its taking time to get the money!
FixedI know, could do with a more knowledgeable mind every now end then, instead of fudging it up and resorting to punishing it with "massagers"
General rust is down to luck mostly. However.....5 doors drain the roof out through the rear wheel arch as standard. The rear doors meant that the drains couldn't be stuffed into the rear sills like the 3 door models and Nissan wouldn't have had the forethought to design the cars that long. Anyone who's done the rear sills on a 3 door will have undoubtedly noticed the cause and routed them out the same way to avoid the issue.......hopefully.
I just saw this... I read it too fast and nearly thought the words "FU" haha yeah I was doubting it too lol. but the more the panels get in the more I think...what and angry little car.I must admit Chris I wasn't originally a fan of your choice of paint but now I'm thinking it looks great

Well its not really enclosed. the bottoms has like a small 1mm hole through the spot welded crease at the bottom of the sill. it can drain through there but over time gets crapped up?the front of the sunroof drains down the a-pillar and stupendiously into the enclosed box-sills where it rusts it inside out.
hence I rerouted my front drain to flow straight down & out through the sills instead.
Pretty sure iv already re-routed the ones in this carWell its not really enclosed. the bottoms has like a small 1mm hole through the spot welded crease at the bottom of the sill. it can drain through there but over time gets crapped up?

But thank you for re routing themPretty sure iv already re-routed the ones in this car
reroute the pipe to drain straight out like the rear drain pipe
