Refurbishment of Ventilated Front Disc Brake Calipers

The following photos show the refurbishment of my FHK11 Cabriolet's front disc brake calipers:

Driver's side ventilated front disc and caliper assembly removed

Calipers before being stripped down

Caliper stripped down into individual components before cleaning

Caliper in the de-greasing tank

Caliper after being cleaned

Corroded caliper pistons (pots)!

Painting the caliper components

New brake pads, cleaner and seal kit

Re-assembled caliper with new pads, pistons and seals

Caliper and new ventilated disc refitted to hub

Wheel re-fitted looks good!

Next project the refurbishment of the rear drum brakes and new HoseTechnik stainless steel braided brake hoses, I will post the pics!

Front Pads Blueprint Number

Brake Discs are off a 1.4 K11 00-02 Model because they are Vented.

Mine were from Tarox - Ignore the Pads code as thats wrong pads
