59 bhp is more than enough

tonite ive managed to catch the last twenty minutes of a programme on the discovery channel. it entailed a group of chavs (yes burberry etc) on a fairly busy road racing up and down.
Now as if that wasnt bad enough there was someone who "organised" this who was a complete burk. He was talking about how he is "an upstanding citezen who doesnt drink or commit burglary" and "the only crime i commit is racing cars, it isnt hurting anyone" what your doing isnt racing mate, it is dangerous driving, no two ways about it.
if i was involved with this idiotic group of people id want to keep this guy away from the camera at all times because he came off as a complete n0b he practically condemned himself and anyone involved. if he thinks that what he is doing is safe or that it isnt going to hurt anybody he is going to have a big shock when someone dies. i would laugh but i know that this is the kid of people who not only puts our insurance up (when i was 17 i was quoted 5 grand for a smart car) but gives everyone with a modified car a label that they dont deserve.
this guy was talking about how they get big power cars. the fastest car i saw there was a suburu impretza sport wagon. the trouble with this kind of mentality is that people dont think about what happens when it all goes wrong. They think that theyre are different or special or rebelious becuase they like to floor theyre cars to within an inch of theyre life down a straight road.
i know this is a big cleche and i never used to agree with it until now but it is films like the fast and the furious (i admit i do like both films, even though they are totaly unrealistic but thats another rant probably coming soon) that gives them urge to go out and act like they can do this sort of thing, become a legend, get the girl etc and not manage to kill themselves or anyone else.
i like to drive and i like to drive fast. but as i always say that theyre is a time and place, usually on a 60mph backroad that you know very well. know you might be asking yourself what is the difference between this and what they do. well theyre isnt 50 people on the pavement watching (usually theyre isnt even a pavement) im not racing another car. i cant be pushed into someting due to peer pressure. im not promoting what i do at all and not glamourising it but due to circumstances and enviroment etc i feel that IM a lot safer doing this and becuase i make sure that no-one is around i dont put other people in danger.
I really dont think these kind of people think about what they do and how theyre actions affect others, if they did then they wouldnt do it.
oh and to top it all off they was doing racing outside a cemertary, ironic....maybe,and very disrespetfull.
(p.s. i really cant be bothered reading through this again so i apologise for the grammer and spelling mistakes now)
if you managed to get through this without falling asleep or going mental with boredom then thanks for letting me vent my anger at you all.
