remapping kit

well i have been having a bit of a think im tempted to get a remapping kit but im unsure of which kit to get i will want to do numerous cars including nissan of course lol. can anyone recommend anything? i will practice on mine first :laugh:

the kit for remapping that i can hook up to a laptop i idealy want to map my own car first then if i can manage it i will look at doing other cars. i just don't know which kit to look at getting.

a nistune daughterboard is probably the most straight forward, or megasquirt ? or standalone ecu ?

i dont have a clue lol i just thought i might be able to get something to plug into the laptop then into the ecu to alter the maps but after a bit of digging it looks like there is no such thing unless i win the lottery. its really my first punt at the ecu side of things its not my greatest area so thought id ask first. i wanted to do my own mapping but have it handy to do other cars if i ever steer away from micra's for a bit.

Remapping is usually the last stage after any engine mods. I'm using nistune which simply soldered onto the ecu and with a consult plug & nistune prog can tune almost any parameter. Highly recommend Ed at fusion motorsport, he specialises in em and can fit & tune it on dyno

BTW sr20bud your profile says you have a K10, These don't have anything that can be remapped... unless you have something else in it / SR20?

cheers kev yeah i have the good old cg lump in it. it will need mapping at some point. i might just get a nistune then. we will see when i decide which route im going down lol.
