Indeed it isDude that's a precision peice of kit... Which is new... and ur taking it apart.. wtf. Please tell me that ur not rotating the shaft oil free as well. Also without sounding terrible t25 isn't all that big. Its probs a really good size for the micra. I shall be following you in to the realms of t25
.8664Also what a/r
Ohhh I see. Good man. Yeah I suppose room wise its big ish. Yeah t25 is the next step for me. I will let you know how it boosts compared to the t2Indeed it is
Well it was completely rotated the wrong way for the way I plan on making the manifold... so as least now it will just be a small adjustment rather than a huge one.
No I'm not rotating the shaft I'm simply rotating the core of the turbo so the oil lines are correct...
Need to find me a way of plumbing some nice coolant lines to it too.
It is pretty huge against millie mate me and chloe were under the bonnet and thinking DAMN we need to make room for this haha.
Might be a bit late in the rev range you will pick up boost. But when you do it will hit hard . if my understanding is correct and I haven't forgotten the numbers.8664
Before I rotated the oil lines were horizontal now lovely and vertical.Ohhh I see. Good man. Yeah I suppose room wise its big ish. Yeah t25 is the next step for me. I will let you know how it boosts compared to the t2
Well the car isn't going to be used for track days I just want to be able to hold my own against other faster cars... get millie to pick up her skirt and run so to speak.Might be a bit late in the rev range you will pick up boost. But when you do it will hit hard . if my understanding is correct and I haven't forgotten the numbers
I know rightdelicious
Ok call my stupid but... Where does your excess pressure go???you wont need to worry about it over-boosting tom you could weld the w/g shut like my TD05
Lol the turbo is designed to boost greater than what we would use tomOk call my stupid but... Where does your excess pressure go???
My understanding was that the wastegate regulated the pressure when your off boost? So with yours wired shut I'm guessing this stopped lag time?the most boost my TD05 could muster was half a bar iirc (@7k rpm) so i just wired the w/g shut
With you nowLol the turbo is designed to boost greater than what we would use tom
... Also its never going to reach full boost due to our engine not spinning it up enough to make much boost
Porn. When you dont want it... Give me a shout
The excess boost will surge through the turbo BTW tom. But due to the larger nature of the turbo and the low boost produced. It won't be too critical.. If anything I would still vent it and do it properly. Saving the turbo and extending the life. With you now
wiring it shut stops any boost creep tom, because as you can see the actuator starts to move before the desired boost level is achieved (unless you have a sophisticated boost controller)My understanding was that the wastegate regulated the pressure when your off boost? So with yours wired shut I'm guessing this stopped lag time?
Get one I can't believe how cheap I managed to pip it for all the others were sub £150 used. This is brand new... For half that.Porn. When you dont want it... Give me a shout
I kind of want to extend its life lol ill still be venting it don't want to weld up a new oneThe excess boost will surge through the turbo BTW tom. Electronic Boost controllers are worth the money apparently. I will also be buying one of those. Stops creep. Allows venting. Also acts as a boost guagr.. Bam. 2 in 1I kind of want to extend its life lol ill still be venting it don't want to weld up a new one
GarrettIs it a chinese t25 or Garrett
I've had a look at these too tempted to go mighty car mods style and get a GFB response...Electronic Boost controllers are worth the money apparently. I will also be buying one of those. Stops creep. Allows venting. Also acts as a boost guagr.. Bam. 2 in 1
Fcuk mcm. Just read reviews of current ones. Profec range is a good buy from what I have read. Might treat myself to the oled one. Do what's best for ur setup.I've had a look at these too tempted to go mighty car mods style and get a GFB response...
Lol let's hope.. Hooderreaper said thatGarrett

any coolant loss tom ?No choice but to burn it now...
It's not returning to the rad after tho frank... I did think maybe a dodgy rad cap?yeh, thats what happens eh, the coolant expands and spills into the tank, then returns to the rad as it cools down
it wont return if you open the radcap eh tom, any bubbles if you brim the rad and idle it ?It's not returning to the rad after tho frank... I did think maybe a dodgy rad cap?
I don't open the rad cap when hot frank I always let it cool...it wont return if you open the radcap eh tom, any bubbles if you brim the rad and idle it ?
Doesn't seem to be... Will check pipe and connections tho!spill pipe leaking air maybe tom ?
