£50 Modifications and Motor Insurance Costs!

Modifying the Micra will instantly put (£ hundreds) rocket up your motor insurance costs, year-on-year! Your existing insurer may refuse to cover you and cancel your contract when they learn of your modification plans. Not informing your insurer is not a lawful option, rendering your insurance void. Modifications may cost a great deal more than you planned for.

Marginal costs for each modification may be low at less than £50, but your time opportunity cost is worth very much more.

On balance, it might be more practical, efficient, reliable and less time-consuming to buy an original unmolested unmodified 1.3 or 1.4 Micra, ~ as a quicker daily commuter?

Good luck

50/60/70s cars had grease nipples on track rods when cars had steering boxes took 1/2 a day going round them greasing um up (showing my age now lol )

Those stock guides are incredibly flimsy. I've broken the thread off both of mine now. Stuck in the holes on the cam cover.

yeah they just use this weak fir-tree type fitting to barely hold it in place n mostly break off at a slight nudge

plastic-pipe-cable-clamp-31061-7751829.jpg

after printing my solid clips, I tapped full threads onto the plastic and it screws firmly in place on the head no prob

A tenner is reasonable. I'll let you know when I want some :)

righteo.

The ABS plastic I order is from here so the exact colour is limited by what they provide, hope it's the right green ur looking for:
http://www.makiboxclearance.co.uk/collections/all

Just doing this as a hobby so ain't stating if I'm a pro at it but I try my best and would test it fits proper on my car beforehand, It's for a k11 right?

when you want some, if you could verify the green or light green filament is correct, paypal me a tenner, I'll order the green, when it arrives after 1-5days I'll print it off as best n soon as I can, test it fits on my engine/leads n then post it off to you ;)

You seen the media cleaners? Spool holder and cleans the wire at the same time.

yeah saw some post bout that. when I heat the ABS upto 240c the plastic coming out would sometimes pop n upset the finish. some say it could be from surface moisture exploding into steam through the heater (hence the media cleaner mod), and some say it could be a deeper issue of trapped air bubbles from cheap poor quality filaments.
