Micra K11 **MOT on Friday 10am**

Nissan Micra K11 Face-lift.
2000 X reg 1.0 16v CG10

I ended up buying this as my Saxo has some rust issues and i needed a car quick so i bought a Micra. I wasnt even ever going to buy one but it came up silly cheap and just had to have it!

61k miles

So far the what ive done;

• Colourcoded the bumpsrips, mirrors

• Added SI spoiler

• Added SI fogs

• Outrolled zoorst tip

• FU sticker, PT sticker

• Flat wipers

Small list, small amount of coin. :laugh:

Its first little rinse;

Gave the engine a clean;

Redone the wheels in Black with Blue lip;

A few months later i decided i was going to "modify" it on what ever spare coin i had, why not?

Started with the White Toe eye;
Front

Rear;

Undersealedthe boot and repained the Axel;
Before;

After;

Tried de-wipering but it looked wrong;

So back on the wiper went;

Well i got keen and thought its old anyway so if i/bro #### it up it wont be such a issue. Lucky for us it worked out.

Bro masking/spraying, in that time we fitted the SI spoiler and re-did the steelies;

Bought a Stainless steel outrolled tip for £20 of zee net because i had no intention of buying a noisy backbox;

Missed a few things from my other thread;

Changed the fuel filter and dear me.. as i (dad) took it off tipped the petrol out it was a dark grey. :blink: So i dread to think how long thats been on.

The leads and spark plugs got done about 3 month ago so no need to change them IMO.

Didnt look like there was much oil in either after it emptied it; hmy:

Been offered a set of Super S/R or SI alloys for £40. Not sure which ones but either way they are all fine The fella is fetching them over on Saturday for me to look at so i could get them than.

£500, wow they look and seem solid. (fisted them and poked them with a screw driver) and no soft metal so it must be fine. cheers.

Yeah its been a great car. Has a knocking noise on the pass front wheel side. no idea what that is but its still pressig on well. Its defo been worth buying. Love the thing.

Fog lights took me ages to get hold of! colour coding was done in the yard on a sunny day and luckily for me it came out well.

Once my mots done.

New plates double sided on. No screws!

And a new backbox.

Might gloss black the fog covers. and little black grill in the bumper.

And maybe new clear indicators

It needs;

Front brake pad(s) less than 1.5mm thick [3.5.1f]

Offside front track rod end balljoint has excessive play [2.2B.1f]

Nearside front suspension arm has excessive play in a ball joint [2.4.G.3]

So about a £100 lol. That also should stop my nasty knocking noise as i pull off and change gears from 1st to 2nd. Good times.

Im chuffed tbh, considering its age etc.

They're fine for another year thank god haha. Not even a advisory on them. Well i checked them over myself and thet are prett solid and obviously passed.

UPDATE

Anyway, got the car passed, yas! 12 months and 3 weeks.

So i went to view the wheels. No one kerb mark at all! just a bit of paint peelage here and there. £40 Ideal. So next week i'll be getting my tires off my steelies put onto my alloys. Yes both are the same size. :thumbup1:

Power wise it feels no different, goes round the bends no different but the brakes feel muchhh better! but in the long run its been cheaper to look after.

I was thinking white but they are a pain to keep clean, i know because of my white lip on my steelies

Well me and my bro was bored and i wanted to save some coin. So i took a jigsaw and a few other tools to the tires. ghetto? ofc. The other 2 are Toyos and im not taking them off.

**UPDATE** 3 wheels done. 9/04/011

Been (and bro) grafting all day and got them best i can and they look nice. last one will be done tommorow. :thumbup1: The best looking grey i could get was Ford Graphite Grey. Some of you's will see them at the Bolton meet.

Sanded down/nitromorsed;

Primered;

Painted;

Centre caps;

4th wheel will look like the above, lol.

Well i had a japc on but it was OTT so took it off, bought a decent tip and gave up on the noisy side of things. but now the hot weathers here i want to rev about ahaha. braap *pop* etc.

Lol, keen sprayingthem already on lol i was either going to polish them up or spray but with the centre cap plastic i just sprayed them instead.

They're awesome wheels. and i cant wait to get them on! and my zoorst.

Zoorst didnt come today. fml. A lighter note. My alloys are on.

Only thing that lets it down is the paintwork tbh. Its due a mega wash and polish!

Well, i went out yday after getting a quote the previous day on a price of a centre section (£45) i lold and walk off and another quote of £33 delivered off a site (online automotive) Went to another garage and got one for £25 (inc gaskets) it proves if you look about you will get them cheaper!

Anyway it rolled on 12:30 yday, rolled it up on dads 20yr old wooden ramps with nothing infront of the wheels (boss way) than we went to rip the centre section off (it was literally that bad and extra noisy. ) unc00l noise though. Go to pull it out from the backbox, FAIL. So out the angle grinder comes and beasted that! cutting the nuts from the old cat was ####in a nightmare, the drill bits we had were ####, felt like the drill was doing #### all. It took a hr and half to do 1 hole! LOLOLMFAO. Anyway we pressed on as thats what we do. It wasnt going to fix itself.

And the grindage. End of the day i was black, dirty...at least i saved £25 only 6hrs of hell..

God help me when i have to change the downpipe, HAHAHA. I just want to cry looking at the situation of the matter.
