micra can't started after changed the cd player

Hi everyone, the google brings me here, hope someone can give me little help.
I've bought a 1998 nissan micra(without airbag/power steering). the car condition is very good. but afteri changed the CD player, The car can't be started, it has sparks, but CHECK light keep blinking, what can i do now?

have you removed the CD and checked the fuses ?

no , i didn't. but this morning ,i've tried to start the car before i remove the CD player, interested thing is the car started easily.

BTW: what's the defferent with the 2 keys, one of them is with red chip in. another one is very simple.

The red chip is NATS. Your imobiliser so you should have to be starting the car with that one I would have thought.

problem solved, your car has the factory fitted nissan anti theft system, it must be started with a coded key, (the square one with the little red plastic bit) otherwise it will not start. Nats prevents the fuel pump from priming the engine, so its not going to start with the simple key.

yes a previous owner maybe broke the spare key and just got a normal one cut maybe? or one door has had a new lock ?do both keys open all the doors+boot? i've had this kind of thing with cars before where they didn't realise the key had a transponder built in.
