JAE 2008 Report + Pics What you all missed!

thought i would bang a thread up so everyone can put some pics up etc..

basiclly i came down with swiper and his wife in his GT4, and swipers brother in his primera gt...we set off on the 5 hour jurnoey at 12am on friday...and we arrived at around 4 ish, lucky for me the msc stand was right next to the msc ;) so i didnt have to walk far...whitch is a good thing when your drunk! lol

friday night everyone started on the booze, the movie (crank) and the carry oakie (carnt spell) were awsome! everyone had a good laugh! and a really good night...

on the saturday i was up at 8:00 and i wasnt very well at all as i was sick! me and swiper went for a full english breakfast witch was really good and at £4 you carnt complain imo! altough i threw that back up aswell :S and i was still abit drunk from the night before!!! lol had a good walk around the stands, plenty of photos where taken...and we also watch the tug of war, witch the NPOC boys won! after we all had a sit around, chatting and want not..and we all went to bed abit earlier than the friday.

and today, i got up, had a full english, packed the tent etc away and we was gone by 12....it seemed most of the clubs were leaving early aswell. plus we had work out the tide times, and the jurnoey home at it seemed best to leave at this time.

overall is was a really good show the atmosphere was amazing and its the best its ever been for me, but still imo not as good as peterbrough. and we where upseting the houses on the island because we where too loud agian lol. like we are every year :p

Good write up, was a shame I missed your drunken antics on the friday night, but i was exhausted and hit the hay. lol.

Excellent Event, just got to steal the Mrs camera to post some pictures up. Think we got about 150, nothing compared to how much Arny, Ed and Kev took!!!
 
At EOE the stands were apart from the camping area. At Mersea Island the camping area and stand were next to each other. This is what I think is meant by the above statement.

EDIT Hmmm reading below it appears I was wrong. lol

Home and totally unpacked now - life returns to normal nearly. What a weekend :) :)

lol that supra must have a knackered engine! it was chucking out tonnes of smoke!

What an AMAZING time. I can only wish we had another few days for it to continue! but yes back to normality. Cheers to everyone that made it another successful event for the club. The regulars will always be there, and its great to see new faces :)

I have about 600 photos to go through.. i'l do it at work tomorrow lol. In bed now, totally shattered.

Thanks to everyone for a great JAE, first time in a couple of years I've spent with the clubs for the majority of the weekend and it was awesome, the MSC does car clubs proud and I was extremely impressed with the whole club spirit, give yourselves a pat on the back :)

Also thanks to P15WAD's friend for the cooking duties over the weekend and thanks to Ed for supplying us with entertainment for the evening time!

How can we forget Kev too, your dedication is nothing short of heroic and long may it continue :)
I'm absolutely shattered right now but i'll try and upload my pics in a few mins :)

What an amazing weekend !

Thanks have to go out to Ed for the projector/sound/fireworks as they were all amazing as usual. Kev for making it happen, choosing a well made marque doing the BBQ runs to Tesco and buying my Gauge !!!

Loads of other people where involed and they know who they are so well done for yet another JAE !

Antony.....how can i forget about P15WAD's knob coming off in your hands and smacking you inyour face.... as Kev said - Quote of the weekend.

Took me bloody agees to get home - 265 miles took me 5.30 hours !

I have an image on my camera phone of the said L plate positioned on the back of anthony's car on the way of out East Mersea. I caught up with him on the A14, I think it was still on then lol!

That Celica was utterly gorgeous, although I'd have said keep the standard front lights.

10k isn't bad at all, unless it's not the 190 model
 
We spent £195 at Tesco's through the weekend! Well you can't say we didn't feed you lol! ;)

I'm going through my images and footage, will hopefully get something uploaded over the weekend.

Cool pics i was trying to get over to say hello but was t busy entertaining the girls from jap performance mag the big black bus(nissan largo) with the 2 15" jbls is the work of my own hands it was one of the show cars we built at work

What batts were you running it from? Didn't sound too bad for 2 sealed subwoofers....but you should have gone ported :devil: !
 
Yep agree we should have gone ported but used what we had kicking around there is a set of alpine componants in the back quarters but we killed them on saturday,the only batt was the one under the bonnet the bus was running allday sat and sunday it used 20 quids worth of petrol and went no where
 
anyone catch me carrying dan off half way thru one song? cant remember which one it was, i was rather intoxicated :D

Yes, it was hilarious, I think it was in the middle of Jump by Girls Aloud!

Nice to catch up again tommo :) GA14 massive! :D
