Couple of things ... make sure yours isnt the short nose crank / pulley .. cos they have a weakness....people used to have to glue the woodruff key into position from what i remember ... I think they were 1990 models.
Check the hoses in the engine bay that feed and return from the heater ..... they fail and unless your the unluckiest person in the world thats about the only reason these little beauts go pop .....
If first to second gear is a bit hard to engage when cold thats normal.
Slight Tappet rattle means time to change the oil
The new air filter looks nice ... but count the number of pleats ...... sorry I am a air filtration engineer lol ... so notice when they only put half the media in.
And I think I am right in saying that these are non interference engines ... and if thats the case no big worries about the cambelt. ?
Change the oil regularly and you will easily see 250,000 miles
Maybe see if you can get a set of RS-R racing springs .Tokico dampers... you can drift the back end out and its so controlable BUT its HARD and Harsh if the roads nothing but perfect ... ohhhh and forget using a trolley jack from then on .... which reminds me .... dont jack the car up on the two beams except at the very ends .... or you will crush them
...... most have already been done lol....
Oh and if you need to set the timing .... watch how sharp the bulkhead edge is ....
