help on piston change

I was looking in the Haynes manual and noticed that the pistons in the 1L and the 1.3L are the same bore size. So can I put some 1.3 pistons in my 1.0, or will it hit the valves

changing the pistions will not give you any more power... it may even give you less power!

micra.jas has fit 1.3 pistons to his turbo 1.0 to decrease the CR (compression ratio) which is needed if you go turbo however if you are not going turbo then u do not need to do this.

i thought that it would be able to house more fule with the 1.3 pistons.

yes you could house more fuel but it would jus run rich... too rich is also bad for your car as it removed the oil from the bore and u pop a piston. so id leave this til u do fit the turbo.

yes, re-build it.

Fit e-manage, and forged pistons. have oil lines made up, fit an intercooler etc lots you can do.

I know that it need to go for forged I was hoping for some cheaper whys of doing it. for a good job I guess not.

ED, if I get a light fly and centre plate will it make flat spots on the standard ECU's performance.
