Corsa piston build with throttle bodies

Is this right, thought there'd be less room than that

thats probably about the same volume as the 1.3 and cga dish eh (the 2 on the left, 10cc ish ? ) so with the 2mm headskim i guess its gonna be about 11:1 c/r

Is it because I'm using an automatic block and it could be possibly more metal on top

The engine came from a 1.3 auto car, it has cg13 written on the block. All of the parts I'm using haven't come from any other engine, other than the corsa pistons

Was wondering, beings that it's closed blocked from automatic car, might be more meat on top maybe?

Is the gudgeon pin centre to piston top dimension the same as the original Nissan pistons? A lower deck height would explain the pistons not being near the top of the block at TDC......

the corsa pistons have about 4mm less deck height john, thats why we had the block and heads skimmed (and shortened the lower chain to suit)

Here's pics of mine and l_jonez blocks, both with 3mm skim, you can see his liners, whereas you can't on mine

Right, bloke hasn't done the top right.

Only taken about a 1mm off by the looks of it

This is what I've got

Didn't have any Perspex, but i say there is 15 cc in the chamber

So using a calculator it comes to 10.82:1

This is with a cg13 crank

With the cga3 crank it'll be 15.54:1

Have I entered all this in right?

heh :) you start with a swept volume of 332cc (bdc to tdc)
so at bdc you have 332cc of volume + the spaces above (chamber gasket etc)
and if you compress that total volume down to 31cc (ie tdc)
then you have compressed it from 363 down to 31
363/31 = 11.6 ratio ?

What's it with the other crank then?

What's the highest the c/r can be without it being to much?

with the other crank you have 342cc swept volume + 28cc above
then you compress that down to 28cc
370/28 = 13.2 c/r (pretty high)

What's the cc of a standard head?

Here's my own maths

Ok, I now get to the 13.2 number

Learn something new everyday

Ok, so using my head and skim off another 1mm from the block, I get to 12.2 (with the cg13 crank)

What number should I be aiming for anyway
