cat d cars

Ive seen one and it looks ok, but is it really worth buying for £900 being a cat d?

depends what it is and what/where the damage is to make it a cat d i suppose...

ive just done a cat c mate so a cat d is not as severe and is supposed to be easier to fix

Yeah cat d should be an easy fix, it just depends on the car / specification etc to justify the price really.

I duno tho, makes sure you have pics and have a look at it...

My GTI was a Cat D, needed: Wing, Electronic headlight, grill, front gti bumper +fogs, indicator, bonnet, slam panel + spraying etc

If your doing it yourself, shouldnt be too bad on the money front

You only need an MOT to put it back on the road, where as Cat C etc reqiure a V.I.C test

although your right about the cat d and mot if the v5 has been handed back to swansea or destroyd by insurance company you will have to pay £25.00 for another one with a cat c this is free but requires a vic check at £36.00 so swings and roundabouts. This was the condition of mine cat c...
