burnt speaker!?!

?Just wired speakers up to my 4 channel amp and they sounded naff, so i took them from the front and put them in the rear speaker inputs and it killed one of the speakers? turned it on and the speaker just started burning?!? one of the speakers was smoking? Whats happend? is the amp knackerd? they wernt bridged or anythin

Yes the amp is blown, its put DC through the speakers and melted the coils.

GAH! speakers cost £100 aswell, will try and get them replaced as their under warranty

ok, is there anywhere i can like buy rockford fosgate parts? as i only need the one speaker? i dont really wunna sell them as faulty as they will make nothing, and they cost me £100.
