The Lucas brake compensator valve on my wife’s Nissan Micra 1.0 Activ
(2001 and only 27000 miles) is leaking slightly from what appears to be either a breather or drain hole at the base of a rubber cover. I am looking to source a replacement and have been quoted well in excess of £400 by the local Nissan dealer.
Is this a common fault? Why is the part so expensive when compared to other makes of vehicles?
Can anyone assist in identifying an outlet for such a part or can it be purchased as OE item elsewhere?
