0-60 / 1/4 mile time for 1.6?

hey all just a quick question on how quick my k11 will be once iv completed the project: 1.6 primera engine into k11. iv been wondering for ages lol as just would like to have a rough idea...faster than the 1.3 OR only top en different?

thanks ScOpEz

0-60 of around 7.8-8.5 and a 1/4 of around 16 @ at around 86 ish mph.

sweet and dat would be standard right? :) also ed i was told u could help me out: basically about how to use the k11 clocks for the 1.6...im keepin my internal loom for the indicators, lights etc...using the primera engine control loom so what would i have to do?

iv seen that the 1.0 being tuned and weight reduced here and there has made quite a difference in its 1/4 mile time: 17.2 secs...if this is so and i apply the same methods i shud loose a few seconds off with the 1.6 right? strange that the 1.6 is only roughly 16 seconds as the 1.3 is more or less this time also isnt it?

the 1.6 engine is what.....110bhp. and it weighs alot more than the CG13DE

the CG13DE engine is 77bhp stock and about 95bhp with full exhaust and filter,
its realy the difference in weight and the gear ratio's...

the 1.6 has further potential. I thought it was less than 110 bhp, around 96-104, but you could tune that up no doubt.

thats a relief then cause they said the 1.3 with full exuast etc wouldnt be far off.. any idea the 0-60 and 1/4 mile time in your eyes with the 1.6 conversion?

Little Rockys 78k 1.3 gave 67hp at the hubs (about 85hp flywheel) on our dyno with just my induction design, totally standard exhaust and BOTH cats, just a few tweaks with an S-AFC...

I'm hoping to cause a shake-up in the 1/4 times for the 1.3... :) Latest evoloution power figures will follow shortly when I next get it on the dyno, probably saturday after next as I dont have a massive amount to do that weekend, with any luck that'll be FULLY decat'd.

My point is I dont consider the 1.6 to be a particularly great engine swap. If you are going to go through the effort then the SR20 makes a lot more sense. But hey, what do I know :p

sorry lol I misunderstood what you meant, but I guess then the best thing to do would be to try mod the 1.6 as you would with the 1.3. Everyone seems to be to the left or the right: some say its no match for the 1.6 standard and other say its not much different.

Would have loved to do the 2.0 but at the moement insurance wise plus fuel and other reasons i just cant, but of course with out any dought Im going to do the 2.0 later on lol.

so you have any idea of the 1.6 0-60 or 1/4mile time and what would it be for the 1.3?

cheers

For the 1/4 I'd say around low 16's, maybe a really high 15 with some tyre setup, 0-60 probably around the 8's. Be interesting to know the gear ratios for the GA16 though, could probably give a more informed answer then. I know the SR20 K11 at work has a shorter final than my 1.3 though, which surprised me greatly.

Tune the hell out of the 1.3 until it explodes, consider an engine swap then!

i know the gears on the primera are quite long and was hoping to find CR box that may fit perhaps the 1.3's but I cant say unless anyone has tried it. so 8 sec and about 16secs: is that the same for the 1.3

1.3 is about 10sec 0-60 right and 1/4mile?

so is surrey far from the london area

I recently mapped a NA K11 with cams exhaust etc etc.. It was pretty rapid must be around 110or more I would say. It was upto 77% on the GA16 injectors to give a low 12afr at the top end.

Ask and you shall receive! :)
