all right frank, sound a complete novice here but just need some advice. saw some pics of the blue car you had, howd you get the camber on it.

    thanks dave
Afternoon Frank, I need a bit of advice if you don't mind, I'm trying to remove the Spring from the Shock for Legendryan but having trouble removing the nut on top of the shock as it's rotating, I've tried getting a Mole grip on the inner spindle and turning the nut but it's stiff as anything.
hello frank was told to contact you by noddie having problems with making a manifold as noddie was going to make me one he is having problems
he said to ask you if you could do me a manifold like martins as as i want to keep my manifold down as the exhaust elbow is 90 degrees down and cant top mount the turbo
if you could get back to me thank you need help
thanks a lot for the window today :) micras nearing completion now, gonna hopefully get the clutch done this week then she'll be back on the road :)
Hi Frank, would you mind telling me the dimensions for the offset panhard bush - so I dont have to dismantle, measure then machine.

    Cheers, Mark.

so the 2001 middle pipe is the pipe i need? is it the overall same length?? i checked on e b a y and i found a 2001 middle pip but it seemed to have a box in the middle that looked like a cat?? is that the correct pipe??

will it be mibble pipe direct to backbox???
Hi Frank.... my name is adz.//.... new to the site.... i saw a thread and saw the below advice you gave.

the last one i got was from a local motor factors ollie (was £25 ish?)
the 1st cat does most of the work apparently, because the 2nd one does,nt get hot enough really

what i wanted to know if that this longer middle pipe removes the middle cat? is it a direct bolt on??

i have a 2000 w reg 1.3 i want to remove the middle cat.... what advise can you offer??

    regards

    adz
No not that im aware of Frank, im just so confused about the whole thing... im not gonna be free until next week now, is it ok to bring the old girl over when ya free?
it should,nt be really, we pulled the seized pin right out and lubed it  are any of the wheels getting warm craig ?
Yeah still strong, and no not pulling... but if i let go of the brakes then it is stopping by itself again. You think it could be that caliper matey?
Fraaaaaaaaaaaaaaank, my car has started to do that "break thing" again... im so annoyed with the car now, any ideas on how to fix it? Craig
    Hi Frank,

I've had no interest in the other stuff I'm selling just wanted to know if you want the Diadgnostic & Tune-Up Engine Analyser and Electrical Test Probe? If so just let me know and I'll get them in the post can't bring myself to binning them, lol.

    From Phil

PS you mail box is full, hence I'm posting here, lol.
i just changed the engine only ryan (and kept the 1.0 flywheel, clutch, g/box etc)
frank I have a k11 micra vibe 1.0 16valve twincam with 110000 miles on her but I want to get a 1.3 engine from another k11 micra. My mate is going to help me with it but I just want to know what we would need to start the job and finish it. Please reply when you can mate.

    :blues:ryan aka stokie1985:blues:
could you do me a huge favour. ive posted a question to you on my project thread, could you check it out and point me in the right direction. not urgent mate just when you have a spare minute. cheers :)
hmm didn't think about the noise, can't be so bad to the point of not doing it though surely, if its needed.

"12mm will start to push the nearside wheel out too far probs"

oh dear, that could be a bit of tight fit with these wheels then. Might have to skip Plan B n go to Plan C - arch work. Or do a bit of everything lol.

Yeah, you welded that p.rod iirc, I've never welded so only option would be custom make one with threaded rosejoint ends, if that'd be safe. I might just take a hammer to it n bend it:laugh:
a nylon bush both ends would be to harsh i think matt (noise transmission etc) and any more than about 12mm will start to push the nearside wheel out too far probs, and i looked at re-drilling the bodymount but decided against
the p/rod on my red car is a steel tube that i welded the 2 cut-off ends from the original p/rod (but its 12mm shorter)
Thanks for that Frank, sounds pretty simple, was considering modifying the original bush somehow, but yeah a custom made one would be much better if it works.(Y)

9mm won't be enough though, do you think it's possible to do it at the other end too,and would it be possible/or even safe to re drill a hole in that area for where the prod attaches to the chassis-looks like there's room but don't think anyones done it.

Plan B I think, would be to modify the panhard rod itself
hi matt, i only changed the one bush (axle/lower end) and because it is offset by 9mm it shortens the p/rod by 9mm, which pushes the offside rear in by 9mm and pushes the nearside rear out by 9mm
i could machine some more if you want, but i,m still testing this one of mine

    frank
Hi Frank. Could you explain to me what you did with the panhard rod bushes a little further please. I think I know what you've done, youve essentially made it reach further thus pulling the axel/body into posistion? But I'd appreciate it if you could assist me a bit so I could do the same maybe - I'd have about 20mm of tread poking out from the O/S rear tyre with the new wheels on if I keep the rod as it is.
And at £115 for an adjustable p.rod it's taking the p!$$ abit huh.

Any help would be great, matt
