Widest tyre size on 5.5Jx13" rims

Can anyone tell me whats the widest tyres I can fit on my rims please? They are 5.5Jx13"

I don't think i'd go wider than 175.

Cheers. Thats strange, the tyres on them are 155mm! But that was what I was hoping to see.

Hi have used 185 on a 6 inch rims,175 would be just nice on 5.5 inch rim i would say.

My tyre place wouldn't fit more than a 175 on my 5.5's. They are a pretty good size for a small car though, any more and you start to lose speed.
