I ahve to point out for those who are making it look like no ECC system as a good thing that it isnt. That of all things should have been left ON the car!

ed - why is removing the ecc system a bad thing? it was a pain in the neck in my car and my car was much faster without it.

please explain why the ecc is good in relation to further power increasing modifications as it only caused me problems.
 
It can be used to increase fuel levels if you intend to add parts that require more fuel, like turbo's etc... or at least that's by understanding.
 
wouldn't you need to replace the jets in the carb to pour more fuel in? doesnt the ecc system control the air/fuel mixture?
 
lol i don't really know tbh mate, but wouldn't it be able to make the mixture richer to compensate for larger amounts of air forced in?

the ecc system was as useful to me as a commador 64 would be to a hardcore halo fan.

I thought id resurect this topic, i bought an Ma12 and 5 speed box today, hopefully going in next week, just wondering if anyone has a list of specs of the engine and any ideas of how to get some more bhp, ive been told to skim the head and get bigger valves, lightened flywheel and try get a 4 2 1 manifold built up....
