What is the name of the Vertical Strut bolted to the front of the bonnet catch?

Hi guys,

I just wanted to know what the name of this piece is:

I'm currently on an ebay scramble to find one since it rusted to the point where me slamming the bonnet shut the other day completely shattered the bottom end of the strut in the picture.

technically it's called Hood lock stay (labelled #4 in this linked diagram)

I just replaced mine with a stronger, simpler length of L-bar

If you know someone who can weld, then it will be easy to cut off the bad piece and fabricate a new bit to weld on.
