what did you do to your micra today ?

Put some mudflaps on the road rally car, too much mud getting caked in the arches(also one step closer to log book ;) )
Changed the exhaust on the road car so it's nice and silent ready to start my apprenticeship in the morning without being judged! Haha

Been quiet for a while because I've been busy on my occasional road and definitely fun car.

At first glance I thought your number plate was a tad rude... Looks good though mate :) I've toyed with the idea of getting one of these, but it means giving up the starlet :|

Not got a pic with me but it's this thing that i've drawn a circle around. It just needs to be rotated 90 degree's to get the airbox to fit. All you need to do is undo the two bolts holding it in turn it and then just put the one bolt back in. Worked for me lol.
Or you can remove it completly but i'm not 100% sure on how to do that :L

Decided to spray the lower mesh black. That's better.

Also handling not good enough, back is lower than the front, this is affecting the front on cornering, the shoulders are not biting in on bends like my old girl. Going to keep an eye out for 40mm springs for the front, that'll sort it. If not, the back ones will come out, and I'll go back to a dragster look.
Going to have a look at fitting a functional air vent to the bonnet, I'll fit a dome filter then, this will give her a direct cold air feed.

Well, I relocated the rear number plate and wired up the lights, swapped my passenger door back over and rewired the front speakers, fitted my new driver side headlight, (2nd one I have fitted to her) and took the rear wiper motor out (weight Reduction bro)

been looks at mas sensors as its been playing up bought a sensor and fault still comes up every now and again. I've checked the wires best I could. ( I'm no electrician ) When I wobble them going into the sensor connector car cuts out. Anyone know how much it is to in garage to fix an electrical fault or does anyone fancy fixing and electrical fault on my car lol.

sounds like the wires frayed on the connector nip to your local scrap yard cut another connector off with "3 of the wire cut your old one off solder the new one on!! 15 mis tops

Successfully fitted and bedded in the AP 4-pots. Night and day compared to the AD22VF from the GTIR.

Very much a mod for the 0.1% but having ample braking has totally transformed the car and will add another level of performance to the SuperS build.

Yeh, I agree!!

2nd hand caliper ~£20, pair of pads again ~£20, pair of front discs <£40. So for around £80 and a few hours work jobs a good'un

Just picked up the beast. Price was actually for 2 new discs, pads for both, new o/s caliper, fluid & full system bleed.
So not as bad as I first thought.

lets just say you've got more money to chu7ck around then me I'm a tight ass and would of done work myself. ( I also prefer doing it myself then I know the works been done with care on BERTHA and done right )

Wish I did mate. Didn't have the tools to do the job properly & didn't want to try & bodge something as important as brakes. All done now & back on the road.

Not technically done today but recently I'd noticed a bit of hesitation, almost kangaroo style but not that bad, when on a light throttle at about 20-25mpg in 3rd, not really noticeable in other gears but it happens all the time on a flat road in town near were we live that's a 20 limit and flat.

As the electrics in the ignition system were all replaced last year I had to look further and read about the MAF, cleaning and soldering the three connections inside, etc. With this in mind Sunday afternoon I got the throttle body off, cleaned it all with copious amounts of carb cleaner, and a old tooth brush to assist with a lot of black deposits that had built up on the butterfly valve and around the manifold side (avoiding the MAF sensor itself with the brush of course!). I got the cover off the electronics and all looked ok but resoldered the joints just in case, re-assembled/sealed it all and she's A-Okay again! Took up some slack in the throttle cable whilst I was there too - doubt if I ever actually had full throttle in the past!!

my connector has 5 wires going into it and 5 pins on mas does yours. I'm getting a fault every now and then. maf is new but think its a bad connector or wiring. cause its still encoring every now and then. she's also using quite abit of fuel now I notice. just wondering what you used on to clean connector?

There are three electrical connectors to the throttle body. All of mine were clean with no corrosion so I didn't clean them. It's a 1999 model and iirc the MAF on later ones may be different. Forgot to add-you say its a new MAF but was it OE or aftermarket? Read a lot about aftermarket ones giving troubles..,
