Ok i need help before i pull out all of my remaining hairs

I've been looking for someone in the Midlands area to do the engine conversion and it's ridiculous, no-one is interested at all.

Does anybody know of or can find a company/person who would undertake an engine transplant/conversion?

Or at least know someone who could point me in the right direction?

Also, importers who could ship me in an engine (as an alternative to the above)

Thanks guys

hello mate

Lol @ your sig Tommo!!

Anyway, have you Spoken to Wayne (Quickdraw) mate? I know he ain't exactly Midlands, but i know he'd be able to help out with it.

Pm me if you need details.
Titch :kungfu:

Primera 2ltr OR
200sx S13 1.8 turbo OR
imported ST engine.

OR pulsar but that's even less likely than any of the others due to overall cost.

Have spoken to quickdraw but as you say Scotland is a bit far and i know he's very busy atm

Joined that forum but no topic privelages?

If i cold post a topic asking for info that would be great or if you could do it tommo?

Whatever you can do cheers.

Is the Nissan Figaro engine exactly the same as the ST engine?

What differences (if any) might there be?

i dont think its a 930cc but a 988. THere is a none intercooled turbo on it, no supercharger and the transmission is automatic. For a manual box you would need to source and uprated clutch as a standard one wouldnt handle the power.

there is norris designs just down the road from me,

they will do a pulsar engine into a K10 for £6000 ish if you supply the engine...

only probs are they are down south.

Cheers Nex, I've considered all of the big companies and £6000 is just way out of my league (and dreams), for that kind of cash i could buy a Toyota Supra (and still retain both of my kidneys) and still have a bit of cash left over to buy some wheels or something.

I know it's not gonna be cheap but i was thinking more along the lines of £2k.

Could be because it's the Pulsar lump though, i'm pretty sure it'd take 2 months just to wire the loom in!! :)

Thanks again though Nex, any information is helpfull (if only to plant seeds of doubt in my mind!)

P.S. thought the Figaro was only t/c, had some import company telling me it was the same engine as the ST! good job i didn't get excited!

Keep it coming people!

just drop a carb'ed GA16 lump out of a primera into it. would be a hell of a lot easier and would be pretty cool on a set of twin weber 40's

well in that case it might be easier to do it yourself...

wireing is easy just make sure you get what you need from the dona car

then mounts, mod the existing ones or make some new ones

and last drive shafts get some custom ones made up...

reconnect everything and your ready to go :)

simple! :) (i'm currently nursing a broken wrist!)

It's more the balancing and stuff that bothers me, making sure that the engine is situated right, otherwise it'll steer all over the shop, i know i could do all of the wiring, that doesn't worry me too much, modifying engine mounts could be difficult ish.

Plus i'm not particularly engineeringly minded if you know what i mean.

sure, well it may be cheaper to do all the bits you can and then get someone to finnish it off

true true.

i'd be lying if i said that it hadn't crossed my mind.

In talks again with another guy at the moment, will see how it pans out then i'll consider my options again.

Any ideas on the engine importing?
