I've had a rant about the MSC on Facebook, and I'm sorry, I was just sick of getting abuse for just trying to sell a damn car. I love you all really.
*runs over to the facebook page to be nosey* x

Oh I agree, the rule set on the latest "my micra does 140mph and its a 1.3 small mods" was unless you can prove your mods, digital gps speedo not innaccurate micra speedo and also prove its off the public road.. posts will be removedI'm a member of many other car related FB groups and none are like the MSC one.
It's childish.
I got tired of hearing stories of Micra's hitting mach 2.0, 0-60 times to rival that of a drag car and pics of exhaust flames bigger than the bomb on Hiroshima.
Must've missed it MaxI deleted my post, it was getting way out of hand

What sort of money would I expect to pay for a bare bones cg13? I.e. no manis, no throttle, no alt, PS pump brackets etc.....
I would love to import one from the UK if money allowed but would like the to know what sort of money they go for first before posting a thread. Considering to get it wrapped up and sent over I'd be looking at 100 for shipping to Ireland before even buying the engine

£50 around here (if you can find one), but unknown history tho (untested)What sort of money would I expect to pay for a bare bones cg13? I.e. no manis, no throttle, no alt, PS pump brackets etc.....

all engine blocks and heads are line bored eh, the only difference is CG cranks were assembled with selected/graded shells, so ideally the shells need to be kept in order and suit only the crank that they were fitted to.
you can assemble a sound engine if you have enough shells to select from
Jesus 50 quid how you manage that
They charge 50 for 1.0 1.3 1.4 around here chris (they cant tell the difference anyway )Jesus 50 quid how you manage that
Is there any other way of telling apart from the engine code on them? They charge 50 for 1.0 1.3 1.4 around here chris (they cant tell the difference anyway )
remove a spark plug and measure the stroke is probably the easiest maxIs there any other way of telling apart from the engine code on them?
It'll still have different engine number and details on the dvla systemStrange question, but bored and having a play.
Can't find anywhere that'll do Super Turbo insurance, because according to @mas12555 they're all registered as GSX's.
Anyone in the UK with an ST shed some light on this maybe?
"Doesn't work mate all super turbos are imports an don't carry the super turbo name. Most will carry the gsx name. It's like the starlet turbos are not classed at starlet turbos on the log book. Seen some import 4 door skyline which are nissan bluebirds on the logbook" -Mas12555
If it's registered as a GSX, then it doesn't matter what badges it has, it's technically a GSX, therefore it has to be insured as one...?
Not necessarily...It'll still have different engine number and details on the dvla system
And 1.4's are so far off 1400 they're called CGA3's not CG14'sJust like 1.3 litres isn't actually 1300 cc eh
I don't see what the issue is?And 1.4's are so far off 1400 they're called CGA3's not CG14's
But yeah, I wonder if @Magpie42 could shed some light on this, iirc he works in insurance
So you're telling me I could LEGALLY insure a super turbo as a GSX .. For £1,669.I don't see what the issue is?
Import Scoobs are registered as Sport non-turbos when they most certainly do...
You insure it how it's registered, surely?
Fair pointCause u can't afford one... Nor can i
Assuming that it's correct I could insure one as a GSXNa not worth it. Just get a new fast car. Getting parts for those cars would be the biggest issue
I did, I'm just not very good at listening to youdid you hear me... parts for that car.... naaaaa
Idk if I want it N/Ayeah you dont listen. now deal with the fact ur car costs more to repair and run than my turbo. still more powar doe, could still buy it max.... buy the battle #### max
