Hi,
The tailgate/boot window seal is peeling at the top of the window. There is a small gap between the 2 ends of the rubber seal at the top of the glass. Am I missing a piece that is supposed to be there to hold the 2 ends in, or has the seal split?
I have a Haynes manual and have consulted it, but it just says that the windscreen/tailgate window are difficult to remove/refit and that it is best done by a mechanic. I do not want to remove the tailgate window, just tidy up the seal at the top. The window is still bonded correctly to the tailgate.
Is there anything I can do to hold the seal in at the top, would silicone sealant (the clear stuff) be a good solution?
