Argos bit alarms are a little unreliable I found, of course dropping it in a bucket of maggots couldn't do it much good

With a rod, in a stream lol. Though that's too slow, beach fishing is more for me.

I haven't been fishing for years!!! Never did catch a pike
Caught perch, chubb, roach, barbel and a fair few others. And had my fish stolen by pikes a few times. They snapped my line though!!

Damn perch, I had my hook about 6 inches out the water ready to re-cast and one jumped up and bit it, scared the crap outta me.

ive never caught a pike but ive had most of the course fish,

perch, roach, tench, skimmers, gudgeon, etc

in still water and the river trent.

river carp up to 20lbs, from the trent again.

barbel up to 11lbs, also from the trent.

I never caught any bigguns as it's only in a small river at the bottom of my parents house. Don't need a liscence for it there . There are some huuuuuger pike tho, and a good big family of carp. Otherwise they're all tiddlers!!
