Relay for EPS

HI all, would any knowledgeable person out there be able to tell me if there is a relay for the EPS. When I go to start the car I turn the key to bring on the instrument lights then I wait for 2 to 3 seconds and I hear a click. The car starts and the power steering is perfect. If I forget, jump in, and turn the key without waiting I generally have no Power steering. I have to switch off wait a couple of secs for the click and everything is grand. I was speaking to a friend on the phone and mentioned this, he is not a Nissan owner but he said it sounds like a lazy relay. Would anyone have an opinion on this and if there is a relay how to access it. Thanks
