This was the result.

Can't wait to get it on.
And holes drilled to line it up then time to make the replicas!

These arrived today from the land of the rising sun :D

Not fitted yet as wheels need to come off for a clean and to get center caps out.
Also changed back to a new set of Champion spark plugs and as a bonus they were only £5 yay!
Old ones looked healthy :)

All caught up again :)
Just when I thought it couldn't look any meaner - you add that awesome splitter.

Every time I see your thread pop up I think I must take you up on the offer of coming to see you both!

Thanks mate comments like that make it all worth while :)

We have a spare room all you have to do is check with our days off. Some great photo locations in Norfolk :)
Will have an even bigger update after this next few days :)
Lots to do and get done.

So I've had 4 nights off not normal for me so had a few days of beautiful sunshine.
Started out with a stock preface grill chopped it up and bridged the gaps with holiday inn electric door keys (perks of the job)
Slapped some body filler in it and while I was cleaning my radiator and removing and sanding the back bumper for another coat of paint Chloe @Clodo was sanding the new grill.
Modified and really engineered my front splitter mounting brackets and number plate.
Till she looked like this :)
Nismo grill to match the splitter

Next I finally had to have a homage to the late Paul Walker and an under car led kit was next.
Love them or hate them they get you noticed.
Fast and Furious eat your heart out.

7 different colours various settings and remote controlled.
Wired direct to battery so I can blip them whenever.
All in all mad set of days off.

Your mortgage consultant is disgusted...

I, however, love the disco micro :D

So myself and Chloe went to our local breakers yard today :)
We came back with many things.
First we toiled and toiled to remove a cg13 for millie as the miles are at 146,000 on mine this one was substantially less and an auto block ;)
Took the exhaust manifold with lambda sensor and other goodies too :)
1435087958948.jpg

1435087971015.jpg

Then a set of preface revcounter clocks.
And a non nats ecu.
Black micra tailored floor mats.
Distributor and ht leads.
Water pump.
And all of this came to £70 bargain :D

lucky bee :p
good starting point
Indeed was going to get another one but after looking inside the cam cover it had never been serviced!!! It was worse than mine at JAE!
Quite a few micras in my local breakers at the mo...
Saw an SLX... but didn't have rear disk axle :(

PIC HEAVY! So bit of a weird day... started the day off by driving Chloe to get an arch roller.
Got back and thought hmm don't really want to help with rolling...
So thought I'd strip down the cg auto block and replace the head gasket just for safe measure :)
Started like this.

1435169959825.jpg

1435169971418.jpg

Looks nice and clean :)
Then managed to remove this!
Without any issues it didn't round at all!
1435170063659.jpg

1435170072916.jpg

1435170083609.jpg

Set the TDC for cylinder one :)
And removed the cam sprockets :)
1435170159486.jpg

1435170173170.jpg

And removed the cams...

Then got a phone call from Chloe who had nipped out to test for mad scrubbing...
But no not good! she's lost control somehow and can only just get location out of her because she's in pieces... so started Millie and went to find her!
Pulled up and found her car on the wonk... Oh dear doesn't look good...
Gave her a hug and asked what happened.
She said something about the back making a bang and then loss of control...
We shall worry about that later...
Phoned a friend of mine 'Gazza' who on his day off drove up with his low loader legend!
Loaded her up and got home safe and sound.

Unloaded and made Coffee for Chloe while i had a look and just walked away because I was fuming...

Sat with Chloe for a bit before going down to the garage to continue the strip with Chloe in tow.

Went back to the garage and carried on with my engine strip down.
Undid the head bolts and lower chain mount then removed the head :)

I'm jealous that you've got, what is essentially an un-used brand new auto engine for pennies. :p
proud that u were there to rescue n comfort chloe.
it's upsetting that such a serious failure happened especially if it endangered chloe.:(

I was mighty pleased myself...
I'm not sure of milage but must be around the 20,000 mile mark...
It's literally just oil stains on most bits and they just wipe off.

I'll always be there to rescue and comfort Chloe.
Technically it endangered our whole family... we have many that travel in our cars.

So did some more work on the auto engine today.
Deep cleaned the head and painted with high temp paint.
1435255792437.jpg

Then removed the torque converter auto clutch, what an arse that was!
1435255862091.jpg

Then time to bin the auto fly wheel that really was so tight I nearly burned the lot!
1435255939717.jpg

I win
Then it was time to remove the sump didn't realise just how well held on they were!
1435256005168.jpg

Removed the oil pickup and finally a open block :)
1435256038264.jpg

Time for manual goodness :)
Also no leaking from the crankshaft seal :)
1435256074345.jpg

Lots more cleaning to do tomo.

So day three of engine doing this between working nights is killing me but it's addictive :p
Today I cleaned the outside of the block and removed the odd drips of oil and grit.
Then painted crank pully and water pump pully :)
Well basic mostly cleaning and painting today...
