Playstation.

Littlewood

Here comes the BOOM!
If I want to run a playstation on a normal moniter mounted in the dash, how would I wire the power to it?

CAR BATTERY --(what goes here?)--> MONITOR --(red,yellow and white audio/video cable connection)-> PLAYSTATION

Hope someone understands this.

Because me+electrics=hopeless.

the PSone is twelve volts (says my brother, dnt count on it). If it is 12v then u can wire it directly to battery if you want.

You will have to look into the power supply of the monitor

i think the ps1 is 9.something volts, so would need a voltage regulator circuit, or as curtis said get a small inverter and use the original psone power adapter

i had a ps1 in my car for a while, i got a pic somewhere.

i think the ps1 was 7.5, i got an in car adapter for it, that plugs into the cig port. i wired it into the car and had the jack in the glove box.

also i had a ps1 screen that just bolts to the back of it. that screen is now moulded into the steering wheel,

Lol i cant afford a PS3 fella.

Maybe a wii, that would be fun when the passenger hits me in the face whilst playing.

I had a go on a Wii. It didn't go down too well. A video game where you have to stand up isn't my idea of fun.

Having a PS3 would be kick ass. Although it would be an expensive mistake if you did something wrong. And it's too big. You'd have to get rid of the case and split all the major parts.
