Nissan Micra blutooth microphone

Hi,

I have a Nissan Micra Activ 2006 model.
I have blutooth built into it.
I have recently started having problems with phone calls; people are unable to hear me through the blutooth.

Firstly could someone tell me where the microphone is in these cars as I can’t seem to see it and what it looks like etc?
And why people can’t hear me properly now? And how I can fix the problem.
Me moving closer to the steering wheel and talking doesn’t seem to make a difference.
When the engine is off I can be heard but when its on I can hardly even be made out.

Can somebody please advise.

The microphone is in a little grey pod above the windscreen. It has a little hole facing into the cabin.
On the roof above is the antenna. In my Micra there was a leak there after having the antenna replaced. The water drips into the microphone pod and floods it. The microphone stops working. You may be able to fix it simply by pulling off the pod and draining it. The microphone can be dried out. Unfortunately my microphone has become damaged by water and I'm tryiny to find a replacement. Any suggestions?
